Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un metodo para mezclar las senales de audio con base en las preferencias de las personas que escuchan que tienen deteriorado el sentido del oido, asi como de las personas que no tienen deteriorado el sentido del oido, sin forzar a los individuos con el sentido del oido deteriorado a que empleen equipo especial para el sentido del oido deteriorado. Un controlador (10, 11) activado por el usuario controla una mezcla de una senal de audio preferida y una senal de audio restante a traves de un intervalo lo suficientemente amplio para abarcar a todos los individuos. La senal de audio preferida es grabada y mantenida separada de la totalidad de las senales de audio restantes y suministrada al oyente de una manera que mantenga esta separacion. El controlador (10, 11) hace posible que el usuario especifique un intervalo aproximado de la relacion en la cual la senal de audio puede variar, lo cual permite al oyente expandir la senal de audio a traves de un intervalo continuo hasta el cualquier intervalo dinamico al cual su escucha se pueda adaptar. El controlador (10, 11) se ajusta o adapta automaticamente a los cambios en la senal de audio de entrada. El controlador (10, 11) puede reaccionar a los cambios de movimiento relativamente lentos o prevenir rafagas cortas de sonido en la senal de audio restante a partir de la modificacion de los niveles de la senal. La combinacion de la capacidad para controlar la relacion de mezclado y para especificar el intervalo dinamico de la relacion en la cual la senal de audio puede variar, en compania de la capacidad para ajustar automaticamente los niveles de la senal en respuesta a los cambios repentinos en la senal de audio de entrada, provee al usuario con una capacidad poderosa que optimiza verdaderamente la experiencia de escuchar para cualquier oyente.
