Abstract

Se describe la preparacion de polioles catalizada mediante cianuro de metal doble, que se fabrican mediante un proceso mejorado, en el cual un iniciador se agrega de manera continua durante la polimerizacion del epoxido. El proceso incluye un iniciador agregado de manera continua (Sc) y opcionalmente un iniciador cargado inicialmente (Si). El iniciador agregado de manera continua comprende por lo menos 2 equivalentes por ciento del iniciador total utilizado. El proceso permite el uso de iniciadores de agua y polioles de bajo peso molecular en la síntesis de polioles catalizada por DMC (cianuro de metal doble). Además, el proceso proporciona polioles de poliéter que tiene niveles reducidos de cola de poliol de alto peso molecular, los cuales pueden afectar adversamente el procesamiento de espuma de poliuretano.
