Abstract

Una composición curable fotocrómica que comprende, como componente polimerizable por radicales (A), un componente de silsesquioxano (A1) que tiene un grupo polimerizable por radicales y un monómero bifuncional polimerizable por radicales (A2) representado por la siguiente fórmula general (1), [Sustancia Química 1] (ver Fórmula) en donde, a es un número de 0 a 30, y b es un número de 0 a 30 con la condición de que un valor promedio de a + b sea de 2 a 30, R1, R2, R3 y R4 son cada uno un átomo de hidrógeno o un grupo metilo, y A es un grupo orgánico divalente con la condición de que el número de átomos de carbono sea de 1 a 20, y un compuesto fotocrómico (B). La composición curable fotocrómica es útil específicamente como un agente de recubrimiento fotocrómico, y a partir del cual se producen lentes fotocrómicas mediante el método de recubrimiento que tiene una dureza lo suficientemente grande para rio rayarse incluso en la etapa de maquinado de las lentes, y que exhibe excelentes propiedades fotocrómicas tales como densidad de color, velocidad de decoloración y durabilidad de repetición.
