Abstract

Se revela un método para formar u compuesto de matriz polimérica reforzada con grafeno. El método incluye distribuir macropartículas de grafito en una fase polimérica termoplástica fundida; y aplicar una sucesión de eventos de esfuerzo de corte a la fase polimérica fundida de manera tal que la fase polimérica fundida exfolie el grafito sucesivamente con cada evento hasta que por lo menos un 50% del grafito se exfolie para formar una distribución en la fase polimérica fundida de nanopartículas de grafeno de una sola capa y multicapa menor de 50 nanómetros de espesor a lo largo de la dirección del eje c.
