Abstract
La presente invención proporciona una composición para revestimiento que tiene alta capacidad de protección de rayos ultravioleta para un material de revestimiento, y propiedades requeridas para un material de revestimiento tal como textura, apariencia, la calidad de ser diseñable y resistencia a la intemperie. La composición es una composición de óxido de hierro revestida con óxido de silicio para revestimiento que comprende las partículas de óxido de hierro, un diámetro de partícula primaria del cual es 1 nm o más y 50 nm o menos, en donde al menos una parte de la superficie de las partículas de óxido de hierro está revestida con óxido de silicio, y en donde la composición comprende una dispersión de partícula de óxido de hierro que tiene el coeficiente medio de absorción molar de 1500 L/(mol.cm) o más para la luz de las longitudes de onda desde 190 nm hasta 380 nm en un estado en el que las partículas de óxido de hierro revestidas están dispersas en un medio de dispersión. Es preferible que la transmitancia de la partícula de óxido de hierro que contiene la dispersión para la luz de las longitudes de onda desde 200 nm hasta 420 nm es 2.0% o menos, y la transmitancia de la partícula de óxido de hierro que contiene la dispersión para la luz de las longitudes de onda desde 620 nm hasta 780 nm es 80% o más.
