제3a도는 제3b도 내지 제3d도의 전극들 주변에 전계가 어떻게 형성되었는지를 보인도면이다.

Claims (15)

  1. 전기신호로 부터 잠재성 전기전하 패턴을 생성해서 색소입자를 사용하여 정보 캐리어위에 현상시키는 방법에 있어서, 정보 케리어(3,12)는 적어도 스크린형 또는 격자형 매트릭스 바람직하게는 전극 매트릭스(4,5,6,4,61,62)와 협동하여 전기를 발생시키고 원하는 패턴구조에 따른 제어때문에 적어도한 전압원과의 갈바니 접속을 통해 매트릭스를 통과하는 통로를 적어도 부분적으로 개방 및 폐쇄시키고, 개방된 이 통로에는 정보 캐리어에 대해 색소입자를 끌어당기는 전계가 전계가 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 전기신호로 부터 잠재성 전기전하 패턴을 생성해서 색소입자를 사용하여 정보 캐리어위에 현상시키는 제1항의 방법을 실행하기 위한 장치에 있어서, 적어도 스크린형 또는 격자형 매트릭스(4,5,6,4,61,62) 바람직하게는 전극 매트릭스가 제공되며, 이것의 스크린 또는 격자형 와이어(8,9)는 원하는 패턴구조에 따라 매트릭스(4,5,6,4,61,62)를 통과하는 통로를 적어도 부분적으로 개방 및 폐쇄시키도록된 제어유닛(30)를 통해 적어도 한개의 전압원과 갈바니 접속을 이루고, 정보 캐리어(3,12)는 매트릭스와 협동하여 전기적으로 배치 또는 배열되어 상기 정보 캐리어에 대해 색소 입자들을 끌어당기는 전계가 개방된 통로에 존재하게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 적어도 2개의 교차층내의 선형 전극을 결합시키고 다수의 사각형 교차점으로 막대기 패턴을 형성하는 전극 매트릭스(4,5)는 힘발생 필드가 색소입자들을 끌어당기지 못하도록 하는 전계를 상기 층들중 적어도 한층의 각 전극 주변에 설정하도록 하고, 색소입자들에 작용하는 전계통로는 가변될 수 잇으며 제어유닛(30)을 통해 원하는 패턴구조에 따라 제어될 수 있어서, "개방된"통로는 예컨대 교차점 주변의 사각형 및/또는 다른 영역이 상기 전계내의 정보 캐리어(3,12)에 색소입자들을 전달하는 능력을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 전극 매트릭스는 서로 절연되고 각 층에서 평면으로 평행하게 배열된 다수의 와이어형 전극을 가진 적어도 2개층 (4,5)을 결합시키고, 상기층(4)내의 와이어형 전극들은 나머지층(5)의 전극들과 임의 각도로 교차되고, 각 개별전극은 제어유닛(30)에 의해 방출된 제어신호에 따라 스위치 기어(7)에 의해 서로 독립된 적어도 두 전압원에 선택적으로 접속가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  5. 제3항에 있어서, 각 개별 전극의 전위는 상기 제어유닛(30)에 의해 방출된 제어신호 즉 원하는 패턴 구조와 일치하는 신호에 따라 각 통로의 크기 및 위치 예컨대 각 스크린점을 가변시키기 위해, 비례식 구동유닛에 의해 선택적으로 제어가 가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, 전극 매트릭스의 플레이트 전극(6)과 상기 층(5)은 그 일측에는 두층(4,5) 또는 한층(4)의 전위에 대한 반대극성을 갖고 그 타측에는 디벨로퍼(1)의 전위에 대해 반대극성을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  7. 제2항에 있어서, 정보 캐리어(3,12)는 전극 매트릭스(4,5)와 디벨로퍼(1)간에 비치되고, 상기 전극 매트릭스(4,5)의 타측은 디벨로퍼(1)를 대향하게되고, 색소입자들(2)은 상기 매트릭스를 통과하도록 배질되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  8. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 현상처리는 육안으로 볼수 있는 투과성인 색소 입자 함유 대기(67)에 놓인 정보 캐리어위에 색소입자(2)들을 집중시키는 것에 의해 달성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 전극 매트릭스(4,5)는 정보 캐리어위에 집중된 색소입자들을 거부하도록 배열되어 이 색소입자들을 주변대기(67)로 복귀시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  10. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 매트릭스(4)는 1행으로 이루어지고, 서로 졀연된 적어도 2개의 와이어형 평행전극과 색소입자용 컨베이어(63)를 전부 또는 일부를 둘러쌀 수 있도록 배치된 적어도 2개의 스크리닝 장치(61,62)를 결합시키고, 상기 스크리닝 장치들은 이들 사이에 전극 매트릭스(4)를 제공할 수 있는 슬롯을 형성하게끔 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  11. 제3항에 있어서, 현상된 정전기 전하 패턴이 고정적일때 전극 매트릭스(4,5)내의 임의 전극들은 가열소자로서의 기능도 가지며 또는 이러한 가열소자들은 매트릭스에 별도로 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  12. 제2항에 있어서, 전극 매트릭스(4,5)는 정보 캐리어의 전달방향에 있어서, 행수가 아주 작은 매트릭스 통로로 제한되고, 상기 전극 매트릭스(4,5)는 적어도 한개의 백킹 전극(65)으로 부터 디벨로퍼(1,63)를 스크린 하는 스크린장치(61,62)내의 슬롯(S)에 제공되고, 전극 매트릭스의 전극들(4,5)에 대한 공급제어는 슬롯(S)의 앞에 있는 정보 캐리어(3)의 전달속도에 비례하여 이루어지고, 전극 매트릭스의 선형 와이어 패턴은 각각이 아닌 다른 각도로 서로 교차하도록 배열된 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  13. 제2항에 있어서, 전극 매트릭스는 실린더(63) 형상이며 전극(9')은 홈에 의해 이격 배치된 동심의 환형 돌출부이고, 홈들은 동심의 도전층(75)으로 제공되며 이 도전층은 디벨로퍼의 일부를 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  14. 제13항에 있어서, 와이어 부재(79) 및/또는 클리닝수단(77)은 환형전극(9")들간에 놓인 원통형 전극 매트릭스의 홈에 위치되거나 삽입되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  15. 제2항에 있어서, 전극들(8,9,62)은 제어전류원과 함께 교류접속에 접속 가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
