Claims (10)
- 표시 장치에 있어서,상호 직교하는 복수개의 데이터선과 주사선을 형성하여, 각각의 교점 부근에 화소를 형성하는 화소부와,복수의 전압 레벨 생성 회로로 구성된 계조 전압 생성부를 포함하고, 상위 장치로부터 입력되는 원화상의 색의 농담의 정도를 나타내는 계조 데이터에 따라, 상기 복수의 전압 레벨 생성 회로에서 생성되는 계조 전압의 하나를 선택함과 함께, 내부 생성되는 표시 동기 신호에 따라, 상기 선택된 계조 전압을 상기 데이터선으로 1라인분 동시에 출력하는 데이터선 구동부와,상기 주사선을 선순차적으로 선택하기 위한 주사 전압을 상기 표시 동기 신호에 따라 해당 주사선으로 1라인씩 순차적으로 출력하는 주사선 구동부, 및상기 계조 전압, 주사 전압, 및 표시 장치의 구동에 필요한 기준 전위를 생성하는 전원 회로를 포함하고,상기 데이터선 구동부는 상기 상위 장치로부터 입력되는 계조 데이터가 갖는 색 수 정보량을 감색율을 표시하는 감색율 데이터에 기초하여 디서링 처리에 의해 삭감하고, 상기 감색율 데이터에 기초하여, 상기 복수의 전압 레벨 생성 회로 구동부 중 일부를 정지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 감색율 데이터는 0을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 계조 전압은 상기 감색율 데이터 값에 관계 없이 일정한 다이내믹 범위를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 표시 구동 회로에 있어서,상위 장치로부터 주어지는 원화상의 색의 농담의 정도를 나타내는 계조 레벨을 저장하는 메모리와,상기 상위 장치로부터 주어지는 제어 데이터에 기초하여 표시 동기화 신호를 내부적으로 생성하는 타이밍 발생 회로와,복수의 레벨을 갖는 계조 전압을 생성하는 계조 전압 생성 회로와,상기 프레임 메모리로부터 판독되는 계조 데이터에 기초하여, 상기 계조 전압 생성 회로를 구성하는 복수의 전압 레벨 생성 회로에서 생성된 상기 복수의 계조 전압으로부터 1레벨의 전압을 선택함과 함께, 상기 선택된 계조 전압을 1라인분 동시에 출력하는 계조 전압 셀렉터, 및감색율을 표시하는 감색율 데이터에 기초하여 디서링 처리에 의해 상기 계조 데이터의 색 수 정보량을 삭감하는 감색 처리 회로를 포함하고,상기 계조 전압 생성 회로는, 상기 계조 데이터의 상기 색 수 정보량의 감색 결과, 표시에 불필요한 계조 전압 레벨의 출력을 정지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 구동 회로.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 상위 장치는 CPU이고, 계조 데이터, 표시 위치를 나타내는 어드레스 정보 등이 상기 CPU로부터 수신되고,상기 감색율 데이터는 데이터 전송, 수동 설정 또는 단자 설정을 통해 상기 CPU로부터 수신되는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 구동 회로.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 상위 장치는 래스터 스캔용의 계조 데이터 및 표시 동기화 신호를 전송하는 그래픽 컨트롤러이고,상기 감색율 데이터는 데이터 전송, 수동 설정 또는 단자 설정 등을 통해 상기 CPU로부터 수신되는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 구동 회로.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 계조 전압 생성 회로는 상기 계조 전압의 버퍼링을 수행하는 연산 증폭기들에 대하여 바이어스 전류를 차단함으로써 표시에 불필요한 전압 레벨의 출력을 정지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 구동 회로.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 감색율 데이터는 0을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 구동 회로.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 계조 전압은 상기 감색율 데이터 값에 관계없이 고정된 다이내믹 범위를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 구동 회로.
