Claims (12)
- 입력 데이터를 상위 비트 데이터와 하위 비트 데이터로 분할하는 단계와,상기 상위 비트 데이터를 미리 설정된 다수의 변조 데이터들 중 어느 하나를 도출하여 변조하는 단계와,인접한 상기 변조 데이터들의 동일여부를 판단하는 단계와,상기 인접한 변조 데이터들이 동일하면 상기 하위 비트 데이터를 특정 값으로 대치하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 인접한 변조 데이터들이 다르면 상기 입력된 하위 비트 데이터를 그대로 유지시키는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 변조 데이터로 변조된 상위 비트 데이터에 상기 하위 비트 데이터를 가산하여 액정표시패널에 입력하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 상위 비트 데이터를 변조하는 단계는,이전 프레임과 현재 프레임에서 상기 입력 데이터의 변화여부에 따라 변조 데이터를 결정하는 단계와,룩업 테이블에 존재하는 다수의 밴드들 각각에 상기 변조 데이터를 대응시키는 단계와,상기 상위 비트 데이터에 대응하는 룩업 테이블의 밴드를 검색하고 상기 검색된 밴드의 변조 데이터로 상기 상위 비트 데이터를 변조하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 인접한 상기 변조 데이터들의 동일여부를 판단하는 단계는,상기 상위 비트 데이터에 대응하여 선택된 밴드와 인접한 밴드의 변조 데이터 각각에서 상기 변조 데이터를 도출하는 단계와,상기 인접한 밴드들 각각에서 도출된 변조 데이터들의 동일여부를 판단하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 입력라인으로부터 입력된 입력 데이터에서 상위 비트 데이터를 지연시키는 지연기와,상기 지연기에 의해 지연된 상기 상위 비트 데이터와 상기 입력라인으로부터의 상위 비트 데이터를 미리 설정된 다수의 변조 데이터들 중 어느 하나의 변조 데 이터로 변조하는 변조기와,상기 선택된 변조 데이터와 그에 인접하는 변조 데이터의 동일여부를 판단하는 비교기와,상기 비교기에 의해 상기 인접한 변조 데이터들이 동일한 것으로 판단되면 상기 하위 비트 데이터를 특정 값으로 대치하는 하위 비트 변환기를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 지연기는 메모리인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 하위 비트 변환기는 인접한 변조 데이터들이 다르면 상기 입력된 하위 비트 데이터를 그대로 유지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,데이터가 공급되는 데이터라인과 스캐닝신호가 공급되는 게이트라인을 가지는 액정표시패널과,상기 변조된 데이터와 바이패스된 데이터를 상기 액정패널의 데이터라인에 공급하기 위한 데이터 구동부와,상기 액정패널의 게이트라인에 스캐닝신호를 공급하기 위한 게이트 구동부 와,상기 비디오 데이터를 상기 입력라인에 공급함과 아울러 상기 데이터 구동부와 게이트 구동부를 제어하기 위한 타이밍 제어기를 추가로 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 데이터 구동부에는 상위 비트 데이터와 하위 비트 데이터가 가산되어 공급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 변조기는 이전 프레임과 현재 프레임에서 상기 입력 데이터의 변화여부에 따라 변조 데이터가 각 밴드별로 설정된 룩업 테이블인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 하위 비트 변환기는 상기 비교기의 출력신호를 반전시키기 위한 제1 반전기와,상기 제1 반전기의 출력신호와 상기 입력라인으로부터의 하위 비트 데이터를 부정 논리곱 연산하는 NAND 게이트와,상기 NAND 게이트의 출력신호를 반전시키기 위한 제2 반전기를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
