Claims (10)
- 鞍乗型車両(1)の車体フレーム(2)に支持された内燃機関(E)の排気を排出し、
前記内燃機関(E)に接続される排気管(21)と、前記排気管(21)の下流に接続される排気マフラー(22)とを備えた内燃機関の排気装置(20)において、
前記排気マフラー(22)は、前記排気管(21)の下流端部(21e)に接続される第1マフラー部(23)と、前記第1マフラー部(23)の下流側に接続される第2マフラー部(30)を備え、
前記排気管(21)から送られる排気は、第1マフラー部(23)を通って第2マフラー部(30)より前記排気マフラー(22)の外部に排出され、
前記第1マフラー部(23)は、前記排気管(21)が接続される内管(25)と前記内管(25)を覆う外管(26)とからなる円筒部(24)と、前記円筒部(24)と前記第2マフラー部(30)を接続する接続部(28)を備え、
前記第1マフラー部(23)内には、前記内管(25)と前記外管(26)との間に第1膨張室(45)が設けられ、
前記内管(25)には、前記内管(25)内を通る排気量を変更するバルブ(50)が内蔵され、
前記第1マフラー部(23)は、車両側面視で、上下方向に湾曲する湾曲部(23a)が設けられ、
前記排気マフラー(22)は、前記第1マフラー部(23)の後方かつ上方に、前記第2マフラー部(30)内に設けられ前記第1膨張室(45)よりも断面積が大きい第2膨張室(46)が配置されることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気装置。 - 鞍乗型車両(1)の車体フレーム(2)に支持された内燃機関(E)の排気を排出し、
前記内燃機関(E)に接続される排気管(21)と、前記排気管(21)の下流に接続される排気マフラー(22)とを備えた内燃機関の排気装置(20)において、
前記鞍乗型車両(1)は、後輪駆動軸(6a)を介して後輪(7)を支持し、ピボット軸(2d)により前記車体フレーム(2)に搖動可能に支持されるスイングアーム(6)と、を備え、
前記排気マフラー(22)は、前記排気管(21)の下流側に接続される第1マフラー部(23)と、前記第1マフラー部(23)の下流側に接続される第2マフラー部(30)を備え、
前記排気管(21)から送られる排気は、第1マフラー部(23)を通って第2マフラー部(30)より前記排気マフラー(22)の外部に排出され、
前記第1マフラー部(23)は、前記排気管(21)が接続される内管(25)と前記内管(25)を覆う外管(26)とからなる円筒部(24)と、前記円筒部(24)と前記第2マフラー部(30)を接続する接続部(28)を備え、
前記第1マフラー部(23)内には、前記内管(25)と前記外管(26)との間に第1膨張室(45)が設けられ、
前記内管(25)には、前記内管(25)内を通る排気量を変更するバルブ(50)が内蔵され
前記第1マフラー部(23)は、車幅方向において、少なくとも一部が前記スイングアーム(6)の下方に配置され、前記スイングアーム(6)の下方から外方に亘って配置され、前記スイングアーム(6)より外方において、前記第2マフラー部(30)が車両の前後方向に沿うように、左右方向において湾曲する湾曲部(23a)が設けられ、
前記排気マフラー(22)は、前記第1マフラー部(23)の後方に、第2マフラー部(30)内に設けられ第1膨張室(45)よりも断面積が大きい第2膨張室(46)が配置されることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気装置。 - 前記第1マフラー部(23)の前記円筒部(24)は、前記ピボット軸(2d)と、前記後輪駆動軸(6a)とを結ぶ線分(L
)において、前記ピボット軸(2d)側の3分の2よりもピボット軸(2d)側に配置されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。 - 前記ピボット軸(2d)は、側面視で、前記後輪駆動軸(6a)よりも高い位置に配置されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 前記バルブ(50)を駆動するバルブ駆動部(60)は、前記車体フレーム(2)の後方、かつ、車幅方向で前記スイングアーム(6)の下方において、前記第1マフラー部(23)の上部に配置されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 前記排気管(21)は、前記内燃機関(E)の下方において、車体中心に対して車幅方向の一方から、前記第1マフラー部(23)が配置された他方に向かって傾斜して配置されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 前記排気管(21)内に、触媒装置(21c)が設けられ、
前記触媒装置(21c)は、車幅方向において一方に偏るように配置され、内燃機関(E)に上方および他側方が囲まれることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。 - 前記第2マフラー部(30)に、前記内管(25)の下流端部(25b2)と接続される排気通路管(31)が設けられ、
前記排気通路管(31)は、前記内管(25)と接続される上流端部(31c)に開口された第1開口部(31c1)と、第2膨張室(46)を通過した排気が流入する第2開口部(31e)を備え、
前記排気通路管(31)の前記上流端部(31c)と、前記内管(25)の前記下流端部(25b2)とは、スライド可能に接続されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の排気装置。 - 前記内管(25)は複数に分割された分割内管(25a,25b)が接続されて構成され、前記分割内管(25a,25b)どうしは、嵌合されてスライド可能に接続されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 前記湾曲部(23a)は、前記バルブ(50)が配設された部位から前記排気通路管(31)が接続される部位までの間に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項8または請求項9のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
