Abstract
Description
前記排気マフラーは、前記排気管に接続される部位から、該排気マフラーが搭載される車両における後方に向かって延び、
前記排気マフラーの内部に設けられる複数の膨張室と、複数の前記膨張室を貫通して前記排気管からの排気ガスを流通させる排気通路管と、前記排気通路管の途中に設けられて、該排気通路管を開閉することで排気ガスの流通路を切り替える排気バルブを備える内燃機関の排気装置において、
前記排気マフラーは、前記排気通路管と、該排気通路管の外周に設けられた膨張室との複数層で構成され、
前記排気マフラーは、前記排気管と接続する前方組立体と、前記前方組立体の後方に接続され前記前方組立体とは別に小組される後方組立体とを備え、
前記排気通路管は、前記前方組立体を構成し内部に前記排気バルブが配設される前方排気通路管と、前記後方組立体を構成する後方排気通路管とを備え、
前記前方組立体は、前記前方排気通路管41と、前方排気通路管の外側を覆うように配置され前記前方排気通路管とで二重管となる前方マフラーボディと、前記排気バルブとを備え、
前記後方組立体は、前記後方排気通路管と、前記後方排気通路管の外側を覆うように配置され前記後方排気通路管とで二重管となる後方マフラーボディとを備えることを特徴とするものである。
前記排気バルブに結合されて前記排気バルブを開閉作動させるバルブ駆動部を、前記前方マフラーボディの外側に設けてもよい。
複数の前記膨張室のうちの他の膨張室が前記後方排気通路管と前記後方マフラーボディとの間に設け、
前記前方マフラーボディを、前記後方マフラーボディに比べて、その外径が小さく絞られた形状とし、
前記前方排気通路管と前記後方排気通路管とを、概ね同径にしてもよい。
前記環状板部材に、排気ガスを連通させる連通孔を設けてもよい。
前記放射片の1つを、前記排気バルブの排気バルブ軸と流路方向で重なる位置に設けてもよい。
前記排気装置取付部材は、前記前方マフラーボディと前記後方マフラーボディのそれぞれに固定される前方取付部および後方取付部と、前記前方取付部から前方マフラーボディ上方に延びる前方取付片と、前記後方取付部から延び前記前方取付片の上端とをつなぐ後方取付片を備え、
前記前方取付片と前記後方取付片とがつながれた箇所に、前記車両に取り付けるための車両取付部を設けてもよい。
メインフレーム部2bおよびシートレール部材2cには燃料タンク9が架設され、燃料タンク9の後方に乗車用シート10がシートレール部材2cに支持されて設けられている。
第1環状板部材25は、図6に示されるように、円環状に形成された環状板部25aを備えており、該環状板部25aの外径は、第1円管部材24bの内径と同一に形成され、環状板部25aの内径は、該環状板部25aに挿通される第1排気通路管41aの外径と同一になるように形成されている。環状板部25aには、後述する第1膨張室45の第1室45aと第2室45bとを連通する連通孔25bが、本実施の形態では4つ設けられている。連通孔25bは、環状板部25aの周方向に沿う形状の長孔に形成され、それぞれ同一形状であって放射状に等間隔に設けられている。図4に示されるように、環状板部25aの外周には、環状板部25aに対して直角に後方に向かって延びる固定部25cが、内周には直角に前方に向かって延びる固定部25dが、それぞれ所定幅を持って設けられている。

- 排気管(21)と、前記排気管(21)の下流端(21a)に接続される排気マフラー(22)で構成され、
前記排気マフラー(22)は、前記排気管(21)に接続される部位から、該排気マフラー(22)が搭載される車両における後方に向かって延び、
前記排気マフラー(22)の内部に設けられる複数の膨張室(45,46,47)と、複数の前記膨張室(45,46,47)を貫通して前記排気管(21)からの排気ガスを流通させる排気通路管(40)と、前記排気通路管(40)の途中に設けられて、該排気通路管(40)を開閉することで排気ガスの流通路を切り替える排気バルブ(50)を備える内燃機関の排気装置において、
前記排気マフラー(22)は、前記排気通路管(40)と、該排気通路管(40)の外周に設けられた膨張室(45,46,47)との複数層で構成され、
前記排気マフラー(22)は、前記排気管(21)と接続する前方組立体(23)と、前記前方組立体(23)の後方に接続され前記前方組立体(23)とは別に小組される後方組立体(30)とを備え、
前記排気通路管(40)は、前記前方組立体(23)を構成し内部に前記排気バルブ(50)が配設される前方排気通路管(41)と、前記後方組立体(30)を構成する後方排気通路管(42)とを備え、
前記前方組立体(23)は、前記前方排気通路管(41)と、前記前方排気通路管(41)の外側を覆うように配置され前記前方排気通路管(41)とで二重管となる前方マフラーボディ(24)と、前記排気バルブ(50)とを備え、
前記後方組立体(30)は、前記後方排気通路管(42)と、前記後方排気通路管(42)の外側を覆うように配置され前記後方排気通路管(42)とで二重管となる後方マフラーボディ(31)とを備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気装置。 - 前記前方マフラーボディ(24)の断面形状は円形であり、前記後方マフラーボディ(31)の断面形状は非円形であり、
前記排気バルブ(50)に結合されて前記排気バルブ(50)を開閉作動させるバルブ駆動部(60)が、前記前方マフラーボディ(24)の外側に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。 - 複数の前記膨張室(45,46,47)のうちの一部の膨張室(45)は、前記前方排気通路管(41)と前記前方マフラーボディ(24)との間に設けられ、
複数の前記膨張室(45,46,47)のうちの他の膨張室(46,47)が前記後方排気通路管(42)と前記後方マフラーボディ(31)との間に設けられ、
前記前方マフラーボディ(24)は、前記後方マフラーボディ(31)に比べて、その外径が小さく絞られた形状であり、
前記前方排気通路管(41)と前記後方排気通路管(42)とは、概ね同径にされることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。 - 前記排気マフラー(22)の前端(22a)が前記排気管(21)の下流端(21a)に接続され、
前記排気マフラー(22)の内部で、前記排気通路管(40)のうち前記排気バルブ(50)よりも上流に位置した上流端(40a)が、前記排気管(21)に接続されるとともに、
前記排気通路管(40)には、前記排気マフラー(22)の前記前端(22a)が接続された部位から、前記排気バルブ(50)が設けられた部位までの間に、前記膨張室(45)に連通する貫通孔(40b)を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。 - 前記排気マフラー(22)の前端(22a)が前記排気管(21)の下流端(21a)に接続され、
前記排気マフラー(22)の内部で、前記排気通路管(140)の前記排気バルブ(50)よりも上流の上流端(140a)が、前記排気管(21)とは間隔を設けて配置され、
前記排気管(21)は、前記排気管(21)と前記排気通路管(140)の上流端(140a)との隙間(143)を通じて前記膨張室(45)に連通していることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。 - 前記前方マフラーボディ(24)および前記前方排気通路管(41)の上流部(24b1,41a1)または下流部(24b2,41a2)同士の少なくとも一方は、それぞれ環状板部材(25,26)で閉塞するように一体に接続され、
前記環状板部材(25,26)には、排気ガスを連通させる連通孔(25b,26b)が設けられたことを特徴とする請求項2ないし請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。 - 前記環状板部材(25,26)の連通孔(25b,26b)が、放射状に間隔を設けて複数個配置されたことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 前記環状板部材(25,26)の前記連通孔(25b,26b)は、下流側に配置される下流側環状板部材(26)の個数よりも上流側に配置される上流側環状板部材(25)の方が多く配置されたことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 前記排気管(221)の下流端(221a)は、前記排気通路管(241)の前端(241c)に外嵌または内嵌されて保持され、前記環状板部材(26)が排気バルブ(50)の下流側のみに設けられたことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 前記環状板部材(26)は、隣接する前記連通孔(26b)を仕切り放射状に配置された放射片(26e)を備え、
前記放射片(26e)の1つが、前記排気バルブ(50)の排気バルブ軸(61)と流路方向で重なる位置に設けられたことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。 - 前記排気マフラー(22)は、前記排気装置(20)を車両(1)に取り付ける排気装置取付部材(38)を備え、
前記排気装置取付部材(38)は、前記前方マフラーボディ(24)と前記後方マフラーボディ(31)のそれぞれに固定される前方取付部(38a)および後方取付部(38c)と、前記前方取付部(38a)から前方マフラーボディ(24)の上方に延びる前方取付片(38b)と、前記後方取付部(38c)から延び前記前方取付片(38b)の上端とをつなぐ後方取付片(38d)を備え、
前記前方取付片(38b)と前記後方取付片(38d)とがつながれた箇所に、前記車両(1)に取り付けるための車両取付部(38e)が設けられたことを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項10のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
