本実施形態の積層型セラミックコンデンサ1は、例えば図1に示すように、積層された複数層の誘電体セラミック層2と、これらの誘電体セラミック層2間にそれぞれ配置された複数の第1、第2内部電極3A、3Bとを有する積層体4とを備えている。積層体4の両端面にはそれぞれ第1、第2外部電極5A、5Bが形成され、これらの第1、第2外部電極5A、5Bは第1、第2内部電極3A、3Bにそれぞれ電気的に接続されている。
まず、表1に示す各出発原料をそれぞれ秤量して混合し、表1に示す組成を有する原料粉末を用意した。次いで、これらの原料粉末にポリビニルブチラール系バインダ及びエタノール等の有機溶剤を加えてボールミルによって湿式混合してセラミックスラリーを誘電体セラミック組成物として調製した。本実施例では焼結助剤としてSiO2を用いた。
(1)で得られたセラミックスラリーをドクターブレード法によってシート状に成形し、厚み14μmのセラミックグリーンシートを得た後、このセラミックグリーンシート上にNiを主成分とする導電性ペーストをスクリーン印刷法によって印刷し、内部電極を構成するための導電性ペースト膜を形成した。
A)比誘電率(εr)及び誘電損失(tanδ)
試料No.1〜49について自動ブリッジ式測定器を用い、1kHzで50Vrms/mmの信号電圧を印加してそれぞれの静電容量(C)及び誘電損失(tanδ)を測定し、それぞれの静電容量の測定値と各積層セラミックコンデンサの構造に基づいて比誘電率(εr)をそれぞれ算出し、その結果を表2に示した。
B)抵抗率(ρ)
試料No.1〜49について絶縁抵抗計を用い、各試料それぞれに300Vの直流電圧を60秒印加し、25℃での絶縁抵抗値(R)を求め、抵抗率(ρ)をそれぞれ算出し、その結果を下記表3及び表4に示した。
C)平均故障時間(MTTF)
試料No.1〜49の高温負荷信頼性試験として、温度175℃において直流電圧400Vを各試料にそれぞれ印加して、それぞれの絶縁抵抗の経時変化を測定した。この際、高温負荷信頼性試験は、各試料の絶縁抵抗値(R)が106Ω以下になった時点を故障と判定し、それぞれの平均故障時間(MTTF)を求め、その結果を表2に示した。
D)高周波印加時の誘電損失(tanδ)
試料No.1〜49について高周波の交流印加時における発熱を評価するため、300kHzで1.77kVrms/mmの信号電圧を印加して誘電損失(tanδ)を測定し、その結果を表2に示した。

- 組成式が100BamTiO3+xCuO+aROn+bMnO+cMgO(但し、係数100、x、a、b及びcはそれぞれモル比を表し、mはBaとTiとの比(Ba/Ti)を表し、RはY、La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、Yb及びLuから選択される少なくとも一種類の金属元素を表し、nはRの価数で決まる電気的中性を保つために必要な正の数を表す。)で表される主成分を含有し、上記組成式のm、x、a、b及びcは、それぞれ
0.990≦m≦1.050、
0.1≦x≦5.0、
9.0≦a≦20.0、
0.5≦b≦3.5及び
0<c≦4.0
の関係を満足し、且つ、上記主成分100重量部に対して0.8〜5.0重量部の焼結助剤を含有することを特徴とする誘電体セラミック組成物。 - 上記主成分中の添加成分として、MO(但し、Mは、Ni及びZnから選択される少なくとも一種類の金属元素を表す。)を含有し、その組成式が100BamTiO3+xCuO+aROn+bMnO+cMgO+dMOで表されたとき、この組成式のc、dは、それぞれ

の関係を満足することを特徴とすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の誘電体セラミック組成物。 - 上記主成分中の添加成分として、BamTiO3100モルに対してX(Zr,Hf)O3(但し、Xは、Ba、Sr及びCaから選択される少なくとも一種の金属元素を表す。)を0より大きく15モル以下の範囲で含有することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の誘電体セラミック組成物。
- 上記焼結助剤がSiO2であることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の誘電体セラミック組成物。
- 積層された複数の誘電体セラミック層と、これらの誘電体セラミック層間に配置された内部電極と、これらの内部電極に電気的に接続された外部電極とを備え、上記誘電体セラミック層は、請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の誘電体セラミック組成物によって形成されてなることを特徴とする積層セラミックコンデンサ。
- 上記内部電極は、Ni若しくはその合金、またはCu若しくはその合金を主成分とする導電性材料によって形成されてなることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の積層セラミックコンデンサ。
