Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はレーザによる書込み記録に適した光情報記録媒
体に関する。
〔従来技術〕
従来2回転しているディスク状の情報記録媒体にレーザ
光を照射して情報の記録再生を行なう情報記録再生装置
が知られている。そしてこの種の情報記録装置に用いら
れる情報記録媒体の記録層としては低融点金属または低
融点金属と誘電体を用いるものなどが提案されている。
しかし、これらは保存性が悪い1分解能が低い、記録密
度が低い、製造条件が難しくコスト高になるなどの欠点
を有する。また、最近になって比較的長波長の光で物性
変化し得る有機色素薄膜を記録層に用いることが提案さ
れている。この有機色素薄膜は上記欠点を除去するもの
であるが一般に長波長側に吸収特性をもつ有機色素は熱
および光に対して安定性が低いなどの問題点がある。
〔目 的〕
本発明は上記間吻に鑑みてなされたものであって、その
目的は保存安定性にすぐれ再生劣化の少ない有機薄膜を
有する光情報記録媒体を提供することである。
〔構 成〕
上記目的を達成するために、本発明は光情報記録媒体に
おける記録層中に下記一般式(1)の化合物および下記
一般式(II)の化合物の少なくとも1種を含有させる
督とにある。

環または6員環を完成するのに必要な原子群を表わしま
た前記5員環または6員環は芳香環と縮合していてもよ
い。
本発明の光情報記録媒体は基本的には基板と記録層から
構成されるものであるが、必要に応じて基板と記録層と
の間に下引層を設けてもよいしあるいけ記録層の上に保
護層を設けてもよい。また、かかる構成の記録媒体を一
対としてサンドイッチ構造にすることもできる。
本発明における記録層はレーザ光の照射により何らかの
光学的変化を生じさせその変化により情報を記録できる
ものであって、この記録層中には上記一般式(I)およ
び/または(11)の化合物が主成分として含有されて
いることが必要である。
ここで上記一般式(I)およびQI)で表わされる化合
物の具体例を以下に示すが2本発明はこれらのみに限定
されない。

一13 また1本発明における記録層の形成にあたっては上記一
般式(I)および(IT)の化合物を記録特性および安
定性向上のために1種またFi2種以上組合せてもよく
、さらに他の染料例えばフタロシアニン系、テトラヒト
四コリン系、ジオキサジン系、トリフエッチアジン系、
フェナンスレン系、シアニン(メロシアニン)系、アン
トラキノン(インダンスレン)系、キサンチン系。
トリフェニルメタン系、クロコニウム系、ビリリウム系
、アズレン系染料など、あるいは金属および金属化合物
ガと例えばIn、 8n、 Te、 Bi。
AH、Se 、 TeO2’、 SnO,As、C(1
などと混合分散あるいは積層してもよい。また、記録層
中には安定剤、分散剤、難燃剤、滑剤、帯電防止剤、界
面活性剤、可塑剤などが含有されていてもよい。
寸だ、上記一般式の化合物を高分子材料例えばアイオノ
マー樹脂、ポリアミド系樹脂、ビニル系樹脂、天然高分
子、シリコーン、液状ゴムなどと混合分散して用いても
よい。
記録層の形成にけ蒸着、CVD%スノソツタリング、溶
液塗布など種々の方法が用いられるが。
溶液塗布法例えば浸漬コーティング、スプレーコーティ
ング、スピンナーコーチインク、フレードコーティング
、ローラーコーティング、カーテンコーティングなどが
好ましい。溶媒としては上記一般式の化合物を溶解する
ものならどれでも使用することができるが、膜の均一性
および高い反射性を得るには溶解性の高いものが望オし
い。一般には、メタノール、エタノール、イ”、l−1
0)ぐノールナトのアルコール類、アセトン、メチルエ
チルケトン、シクロヘキサノン庁どのケトン類、 N、
N−ジメチルホルムアミド。
N、N−ジメチルアセトアミドなどのアミド類。
ジメチルスルホキシドなどのスルホキシド類。
テトラヒドロフラン、ジオキサン、エチレングリコール
モノメチルエーテルなどのエーテル類。
酢酸メチル、酢酸エチルなどのエステル類、クロロホル
ム、塩化メチレン、ジクロルエタン。
四塩化炭素、トリクロルエタンなどの脂肪族ハロゲン化
炭化水素類あるいけベンゼン、トルエン、キシレン、リ
グロイン、モノクロルベンゼン、ジクロルベンゼンなど
の芳香族類などを用いることができる。
記録層の膜厚は光反射率が再生レーザの波長において1
ムチ以上と々るように設定するのが好ましいが、100
λ〜10μmFf着しくけ200″に〜2μmが適当で
ある。
また、本発明における基板は基板側から書込み記録を行
なう場合は使用レーザ光に対して透明でなければならず

リオレフィン、ポリカーボネート、エポキシ、ポリイミ
ド、ポリメチルメタクリレートなどのプラスチック、金
ハ、セラミックスが通常使用される。
次に1図面について本発明による光情報記録媒体の構成
を説明する。
第1図に示すように5本発明の光情報記録媒体は基本的
には基板1上に上記一般式(I)および/または一般式
(II)の化合物を含む記録層2を設けたものである。
また、第2図ないし第4図に示すように、第1図の構成
のものKさらに下引き層3および/または保護N4を設
けた構成とすることもできる。
下引き層は(a)接着性の向上、(b)水寸たはガスな
どのバリヤー、(C)記録層の保存安定性の向上。
(d)反射率の向上、(e)溶液からの基板の保護およ
び(f)プレグルーブの形成などを目的として設けられ
る。(a)の目的に対しては高分子材料例えばアイオノ
マー樹脂、ポリアミド系樹脂、ビニル系樹脂、天然高分
子、シリコーン、液状ゴムなどの種々の材料もしくはシ
ランカップリング剤などの種々の物質を用いることがで
き、 (b)、 (c)の目的に対しては上記高分子材
料以外に無機化合物例えばsio、、 、 MgF2 
、5iO1Ti02 、 ZnO,TiN。
SiNなど、金属または半金属例えばZn、Cu、8゜
Ni、Cr、 Ge 、 Se、 Cd、 Ag、 M
などを用いることができる。(d)の目的に対しては金
属例えばA1゜Agなどまたは金属光沢を有する有機薄
膜例えばメチン染料、キサンチン系染料などを用いるこ
とができ、そして(e)、 (f)の目的に対しては紫
外線硬化樹脂、熱硬化性樹脂、熱可塑性樹脂などを用い
ることができる。下引き層の膜厚は0.1〜30μm好
ましくは0.2〜10μmが適当である。
また、保護層はキズ、ホコリ、汚れなどからの保論およ
び記録層の保存安定性の向上および反射率の向上を目的
として設けられ、その材料としては下引き層と同じ材料
を使用することができる。保護層の膜浮け0.1μm好
ましくけ50μm以下が適当である。この際、下引き層
および/または保護層中には本発明の上記一般式(II
または/および一般式(II)の化合物が含有されてい
てもよい。また、下引き層または保護層には安定剤1分
散剤、難燃剤、滑剤、帯電防止剤、界面活性剤、可塑剤
などが含有されていてもよい。
さらに1本発明による光情報記録媒体の別の構成として
は、第1図ないし第4図に示した同一構成の2枚の記録
媒体(場合によりその1枚を基板のみとして)を用い記
録N2を内側に配置して密封したいわゆるエアーサンド
インチ構造にしてもよいし、保護層4を介して接着した
いわゆる密着サンドイッチ構造(貼り合せ構造)にして
もよい。
なお、レーザ光源として波長750〜850 nmの半
導体レーザを用いると装置の小型化が可能となる。
〔実施例〕
以下に実施例を掲げて本発明をさらに説明するが1本発
明はこれらに限定されるものでは力い。
実施例 1 厚さ1.2肛のポリメチルメタクリレート(以下r P
MMA Jと略記)基板(アクリライトAR,三菱レー
ヨン製)上に、前掲例示化合物&5を1,2−ジクロル
エタンに溶解した溶液をスピンコードして膜厚0.7μ
mの記録層を設は記録媒体を作製した。
実施例 2 21一 実施例1における化合物の代りに前掲例示化合物産12
を用いた以外には実施例1と同様にして記録媒体を作製
した。
実施例 3 実施例1で形成した記録層上にさらに厚さ100Aの銀
蒸着膜を設は記録媒体を作製した。
実施例 4 厚さ1.211のPMMA基板上に前掲例示化合物A2
4を真空蒸着して厚さ0.6μmの記録層を設は記媒媒
体を作製した。
実施例 5 厚さ1.2朋のPMMA基板(アクリライ)AR,三菱
レーヨン製)上に前掲例示化合物A30と下記式の色素
とを1=1の重量比で混合した1、2−ジクロルエタン
溶液をスピナー塗布して厚さ[17μ荒の記録層を設杖
記録媒体を作製した。

実施例 6 厚さ1.211uItのPMMA基板上に前掲例示化合
物煮7と前掲例示化合物扁27とを7=3の重量比で混
合した1、2−ジクロルエタン溶液をスピナー塗布して
厚さ0.5μmの記録層を設けさらにその上に下記式の
色素を厚さ0.15μmで真空蒸着して記録媒体を作製
した。
0θ 実施例 7 厚さ1.2BのPMMA基板上に厚さ150AのTe蒸
着膜を設けさらにその上に前掲例示化合物A5の1,2
−ジクロルエタン溶液をスピナー塗布して厚さ0.4μ
mの記録層を設は記録媒体を作製した。
上記実施例で作製した各記録媒体に波長790nmの半
導体レーザ光を用いて基板側より、記録周波数[1,5
MHz、線速1.5 m/seeで情報を書込み再生し
、その再生波形をスペクトル解析(スキャニングフィル
ター、バンド幅30 KHz) (、てc/Nを測定し
た。
次に、同じ記録媒体を60℃、R,H,90チの条件下
に1000時間放置して保存性加速実験を行なった後の
C/Nを測定した。

例1とまったく同様にして記録媒体を作製しその結果を

8     50     48〔効 果〕 上述のようにして構成された本発明の光情報記録媒体は
以下の効果を奏する。
1、 長波長レーザ(半導体レーザ)を用いても高感度
に記録できる。
2、 良好な形状でピットを形成することが出来。
高いC/Nが得られる。
& 熱および光に対する安定性が高く、保存性に優れ、
P+生劣化の少ない記録体が得られる。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 基板上に直接または下引き層を介して記録層を設けさら
    にその上に必要に応じて保護層を設けてなる光情報記録
    媒体において、前記記録層が 一般式( I ) ▲数式、化学式、表等があります▼( I ) および/または 一般式(II) ▲数式、化学式、表等があります▼(II) (上記式において、X_1ないしX_3はO、Sまたは
    Seを表わし、A^■は陰イオンを表わし、l、mまた
    はnは0または1を表わし、R_4は置換もしくは未置
    換のアリール基または複素環式基を表わし、R_3、R
    _5、R_6、R_9、R_1_0およびR_1_1は
    水素またはアルキル基を表わし、R_1、R_2、R_
    7、R_8、R_1_2およびR_1_3は水素または
    置換もしくは未置換のアルキル、アリールまたはスチリ
    ル基を表わし、Z_、Z_3およびZ_5は置換もしく
    は未置換のピリリウム、チアピリリウム、セレナピリリ
    ウム、ベンゾピリリウム、ベンゾチアピリリウム、ベン
    ゾセレナピリリウム、ナフトピリリウム、ナフトチアピ
    リリウムまたはナフトセレナピリリウムを完成するのに
    必要な原子群を表わしそしてZ_2およびZ_4は置換
    もしくは未置換の5員環または6員環を完成するのに必
    要な原子群を表わしまた前記5員環または6員環は芳香
    環と縮合していてもよい)で表わされる化合物を含むこ
    とを特徴とする、光情報記録媒体。
