Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ■業上ΩＩＪＩ公団 本発明は、ファクシミリで送信、受信が実行されたとき
に、その通信結果を逐次記憶するとともに、通信結果が
一定個数に達したときにこれを紙上に記録するようにし
たファクシミリ装置に関する。
灸米皇肢秀 ファクシミリで送信、受信を実行したときに、その通信
結果をＲＡＭに通信管理記録として記憶するようにして
いる。しかし、ＲＡＭの記憶容量を越えて通信結果を記
憶することはできないので、例えば、通信結果個数が２
５個になるごとに旧い通信結果を消去して新しい通信結
果を記憶するようにしている。また、この場合、消去さ
れる通信結果を紙上に記録し、通信管理記録表として利
用者に提示できるようにしていた。
°　しよ゛と　る ところが、上記従来のように、ＲＡＭの記憶容量の制約
を受けて通信結果個数を一律に２５個と決めた場合、例
えば、使用される記録紙が８４幅のロール紙だと、記録
紙長はＡ４サイズでカットされるなどして、プリントし
た通信管理記録表をファイリングするときに不都合であ
る。また、この場合、使用される記録紙がＢ４サイズの
カット紙だと、当該カット紙の下部側に無駄な余白がで
きることになる。
一方、ＲＡＭの記憶容量を大きくして、通信結果個数を
一律に例えば３６個と決めた場合、使用される記録紙が
Ａ４サイズのカット紙だと、−枚に収まりきらず、二枚
に渡り、且つ二枚目に無駄な余白ができるという欠点が
ある。
本発明は、上記の事情に鑑み、通信管理記録において、
記録紙に無駄な余白を生じさせないファクシミリ装置の
提供を目的としている。
苦　　　”′　るための 本発明に係るファクシミリ装置は、上記の課題を解決す
るために、通信結果個数が一定個数に達したときに記録
紙に通信結果を記録するようにしたファクシミリ装置に
おいて、使用する記録紙のサイズに応じて前記の一定個
数を設定する手段が備えられていることを特徴としてい
る。
作−ｍ−■ 上記の構成によれば、使用する記録紙のサイズが例えば
Ｂ４であるときには、一定個数として、当該Ｂ４の記録
紙に丁度収まるだけの個数（例えば、３６個）が設定さ
れ、また、レターサイズであるときには、一定個数とし
て、当該レターサイズの記録紙に丁度収まるだけの個数
（例えば、２８個）が設定される。従って、一定個数を
一律に設定してしまう従来装置の欠点、即ち、記録紙５
二無駄な余白ができるといった等の欠点が解消されるこ
とになる。
ニー」Ｌ−桝 本発明の一実施例を第１図ないし第３図に基づいて説明
すれば、以下の通りである。
第１図はファクシミリ装置の概略的な回路構成を示すブ
ロック図であり、該ファクシミリ装置は、制御部１と、
ＲＡＭ２と、オートダイヤラ３と、ＮＣＵ４と、読取り
部６と、モデム７と、記録部８と、ＲＯＭ９と、操作パ
ネル１０と、表示部１１とを備えて構成される。
前記の制御部１はＲＯＭ９に格納された制御プログラム
に基づき、このファクシミリ装置の送受信動作の全体を
制御する制御中枢となるものであり、基本的な送信動作
は概略的には以下のようにして行われる。
操作者により図示しない通信キーやワンタッチダイヤル
キーがＯＮされると、制御部１がＲ’　Ａ　Ｍ２に格納
された相手先の電話番号を読み出し、読み出された電話
番号がオートダイヤラ３及びＮＣＵ４を介して電話回線
５にダイヤル発信される。
そして、ダイヤル発信の後に、読取り部６が読み採った
原稿の画データがモデム７及びＮＣＵ４を介して電話回
線５に送出され、送信動作が行われる。
一方、受信動作は以下のようにして行われる。
即ち、電話回線５、ＮＣＵ４、及びモデム７を介して相
手先から受信情報が着信すると、制御部１がプリンタを
駆動して受信情報の記録を行わせて受信動作が行われる
。
当該ファクシミリ装置においては、上述した送信動作、
受信動作が実行される度に、その通信結果が前記のＲＡ
Ｍ２に通信管理記録として記録され、通信結果個数が一
定個数（以下、記録開始個数と称する）に達したときに
、プリンタを駆動し、例えば第３図に示す通信管理記録
表として記録紙に通信結果を記録するようになっている
。そして、前記の記録開始個数は、操作者によるキー人
力若しくは紙サイズセンサにより検出される記録紙のサ
イズに応じて変更設定されるようになっている。
使用する記録紙のサイズと記録開始個数との関係を示す
と、以下の第１表のようである。
第１表 なお、この第１表に示す記録開始個数は、使用する記録
紙に丁度収まるだけの個数を示すものであるが、これは
例示であり、この個数は、文字サイズや記録フォーマッ
ト等により変動することとなるものである。
第２図は、記録紙サイズにより設定される記録開始個数
に応じて通信管理記録をプリントアウトする処理を示す
フローチャートである。
ステップ１では、通信（送信若しくは受信）があったか
否かが判断され、通信があれば、その通信結果をＲＡＭ
、２の所定の記憶領域に記憶しくＳ２）、ＲＡＭ２上の
通信結果記憶位置を１細道める。
次に、記録紙サイズが８４サイズか否かが判断され（Ｓ
４）、８．４サイズであれば、通信結果記憶位置が３６
であるか否か（即ち、通信結果個数が３６になったか否
か）を判断する（Ｓ５）。３６でなければ終了する一方
、３６であれば、通信結果記録位置を０にする（Ｓ６）
。次いで、通信結果自動プリント設定がなされているか
否かを判断しくＳ７）、設定されていなければ終了する
一方、設定されていれば通信結果のプリントアウトを行
う（Ｓ８）。
ステ・ノブ４において、記録紙サイズが８４サイズでな
いと判断されたときは、記録紙サイズがＡ４サイズか否
かを判断する（Ｓ９）。Ａ４サイズであると判断された
ら、通信結果記憶位置が３０であるか否かを判断する（
ＳＩＯ）。３０でなければ終了する一方、３０であれば
、通信結果記録位置をＯにする（Ｓｌｌ）。次いで、通
信結果自動プリント設定がなされているか否かを判断し
く５１２）、設定されていなければ終了する一方、設定
されていれば通信結果のプリントアウトを行う　　（Ｓ
１３）　　。
ステップ９において、記録紙サイズがＡ４サイズでない
と判断されたときは、記録紙サイズがリーガルサイズか
否かを判断する（Ｓ１４）。リーガルサイズであると判
断されたら、通信結果記憶位置が３５であるか否かを判
断する（Ｓ１５）。
３５でなければ終了する一方、３５であれば、通信結果
記録位置をＯにする（Ｓ１６）。次いで、通信結果自動
プリント設定がなされているか否かを判断しく５１７）
、設定されていなければ終了する一方、設定されていれ
ば通信結果のプリントアウトを行う（Ｓ１８）。
ステップ９において、記録紙サイズがリーガルサイズで
ないと判断されたときは、記録紙はレターサイズとなる
ので、通信結果記憶位置が２８であるか否かを判断する
（Ｓ１９）。２８でなければ終了する一方、２８であれ
ば、通信結果記録位置を０にする（Ｓ２０）。次いで、
通信結果自動プリント設定がなされているか否かを判断
しく５２１）、設定されていなければ終了する一方、設
定されていれば通信結果のプリントアウトを行った後（
Ｓ２２）、終了する。
なお、以上は基本的なフローを示したものであり、例え
ば、通信結果個数が２８を越えた後において記録紙がＡ
４サイズのものからレターサイズに変更されたときなど
は、２８個分だけ通信結果をプリントアウトし、残りは
記憶保持しておくようにしてもよい。また、ユーザが例
えば、Ａ４の記録紙に通信結果のプリントアウトを望む
場合には、記録紙サイズ指定キー等により記録紙サイズ
を指定しておき、当該Ａ４サイズに対応する記録結果個
数に達したときにＡ４サイズがセントされていればこれ
にプリントアウトする一方、Ａ４サイズがセットされて
いないときにはブザー等により記録紙交換を促すような
動作を行うようにしてもよいものである。
発護坏ぢ成果 以上の本発明によれば、使用する記録紙のサイズに応じ
て、当該サイズの記録紙に丁度収まるだけの記録開始個
数が設定されるので、記録開始個数を一律に設定してし
まう従来装置の欠点、即ち、記録紙に無駄な余白ができ
るといった等の欠点が解消できるという効果を奏する。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）通信結果個数が一定個数に達したときに記録紙に
    通信結果を記録するようにしたファクシミリ装置におい
    て、 使用する記録紙のサイズに応じて前記の一定個数を設定
    する手段が備えられていることを特徴とするファクシミ
    リ装置。
