Description
上記バルキー率は、バルキー加工を施したガラスヤーンの番手(線重量)とバルキー加工を施す前のガラスヤーンの番手(線重量)との比により求める値である。
ここで、バルキー加工を施したガラスヤーンの番手(線重量)は単位長当たりのガラスヤーンの重量であり、バルキー加工を施す前のガラスヤーンの番手(線重量)はガラスフィラメントの太さとフィラメント総本数から特定されるものである。

(式中、Rf1は、パーフルオロ有機基を表す。)で表されるパーフルオロ不飽和化合物等が挙げられる。本明細書において、上記「パーフルオロ有機基」とは、炭素原子に結合する水素原子が全てフッ素原子に置換されてなる有機基を意味する。上記パーフルオロ有機基は、エーテル酸素を有していてもよい。
上記パーフルオロビニルエーテルとしては、更に、上記一般式(1)において、Rf1が炭素数4~9のパーフルオロ(アルコキシアルキル)基であるもの、Rf1が下記式:
パーフルオロアルキルエチレンとしては特に限定されず、例えば、パーフルオロブチルエチレン[PFBE]、パーフルオロヘキシルエチレン等が挙げられる。
ここで平均比重とは、上記フッ素樹脂を含むシート全体の比重をいい、加熱の結果上記フッ素樹脂を含むシートに比重の低下した部分(層)が生じる場合は、その低比重層をも含めた全体の比重をいう。
上記シートの平均比重は、水中置換法により測定することができる。測定サンプルの形状とサイズは特に限定されないが、例えば、上記シートから縦2cm・横2cm程度に切り取ったサンプルを測定する。
ただし、上述のように、本発明の積層体は上記フッ素樹脂を含むシートと上記ガラスクロスとが充分強固に接着しているので、PTFE微粒子層を含まなくても問題はない。
図1において、390~400℃に加熱された加熱ローラ4に、回転焼成法(PCT/JP98/01116号明細書の実施例2に記載の方法)により焼成し切削して得たPTFEシート1(比重2.191のPAVE変性PTFEシート、幅1180mm、厚さ2.4mm)、PFAフィルム2(幅1180mm、厚さ0.1mm)、バルキー加工を施したバルキー率が111%のガラスヤーンを綾織することで作製されたガラスクロス3(幅1200mm、密度(縦)53本/25mm、密度(横)30本/25mm、質量320g/m2、厚さ0.3mm)の順に配された積層物を加熱ローラ4の表面に接するように巻き付け、押えローラ5で押しつけながら加熱融着させて連続的(ライン速度80mm/min)に積層体を製造した。ガラスクロス3の写真を図2に示す。
この積層体からPTFEシート幅方向に10等分し、幅30mm、長さ150mmのサンプルを切り出し、PTFEシート1とPFAフィルム2が一体化した樹脂層とガラスクロス3との接着強度(剥離強度)をJIS K 6772-9-5に従って測定したところ平均3.7kN/mであった。
接着強度試験後のガラスクロス側の剥離面を観察したところ、バルキー加工が施されたガラスヤーンを確認することができた。また、同剥離面のバルキー加工が施されたガラスヤーンの網目にPFA成分の残存を確認することができた。
また、PTFEシート全体の平均比重は2.175であった。PTFEシートの切断面を観察したところ、PFAフィルム側から約33%は溶融したために半透明となっていた。
実施例1において使用したバルキー加工が施されたガラスクロス3に代えて、バルキー加工されていないガラスヤーン(ストレートヤーン)を綾織することで作製されたガラスクロス3-2を使用した以外は実施例1と同様にして連続的に積層体を製造した。ガラスクロス3-2の写真を図3に示す。
PTFEシート1とPFAフィルム2が一体化した樹脂層と、ガラスクロス3-2との接着強度(剥離強度)を実施例1と同様にして測定したところ、わずか1.7kN/mであった。
接着強度試験後のガラスクロス側の剥離面を観察したところ、バルキー加工されていないガラスヤーン(ストレートヤーン)のみを確認することができ、同ガラスヤーンの網目にPFA成分の残存を確認することができなかった。
実施例1において使用したPFAフィルム2を使用せず、PTFEシート1とバルキー加工が施されたガラスクロス3のみを使用した以外は、実施例1と同様にして連続的に積層体を製造した。
PTFEシート1とガラスクロス3の接着強度(剥離強度)を実施例1と同様にして測定したところ、わずか0.7kN/mであった。
接着強度試験後のガラスクロス側の剥離面を観察したところ、バルキー加工が施されたガラスヤーンを確認することができたが、同ガラスヤーンの網目にPTFE成分の残存を確認することができなかった。

- フッ素樹脂を含むシートと、
熱溶融性樹脂層と、
ガラスクロスとが、この順に隣接して積層されてなる積層体であって、
前記ガラスクロスは、経糸及び緯糸の一方のみにバルキー加工を施したガラスヤーンの織物であり、
前記フッ素樹脂を含むシートは、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン[PTFE]シートであり、
前記熱溶融性樹脂層は、テトラフルオロエチレン[TFE]/パーフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)[PAVE]共重合体[PFA]の層であり、
ライニング用であることを特徴とする積層体。 - 前記熱溶融性樹脂層と前記ガラスクロスとが接するように積層されており、
前記ガラスクロスは、綾織で織られており、

前記ガラスクロスの前記熱溶融性樹脂層と接する面には、前記バルキー加工を施したガラスヤーン間及び前記ガラスフィラメント間に、前記熱溶融性樹脂が含浸した層を有する請求項1又は2記載の積層体。 - 前記PTFEシートは、平均比重が2.175以上である請求項1、2又は3記載の積層体。
- 前記バルキー加工を施したガラスヤーンは、バルキー率が101~150%である請求項1、2、3又は4記載の積層体。
