Description
図1,2に示すように、弁装置1は、既設の水道管K(流体管の一例)に外嵌装着される外弁箱3と、その外弁箱3に収容される内弁箱4と、外弁箱3と内弁箱4との間を密封する内パッキン6とを備える。図面上での区別を容易にするため、図2(及び図4,5,8,9)では、外観で示した内パッキン6を着色して描いている。内弁箱4は、水道管K内を流れる流体(即ち、水)の流路を遮断または切替可能な弁体2を有する。外弁箱3は分割構造を有しており、その分割部30の隙間が外パッキン5,5によって密封されている。本実施形態では、水道管Kの周方向の二箇所に分割部30,30が設定され、それらが水平方向に位置している。
外弁箱3に内弁箱4を固定するための固定手段について説明する。但し、本発明は、これに限定されるものではなく、例えば、本出願人による特許文献2に開示されるようなボルトを用いて外弁箱3に内弁箱4を固定することも可能である。そのボルトには、先端部が尖った形状のボルトを用いてもよい。また、固定手段は、必ずしも密閉空間Sを利用したものでなくてもよいし、所定の部材を内弁箱4の上面に係止することで固定する構造でもよい。
不断水工法によって弁装置1を組み立てる手順の一例について説明する。まずは、既設の水道管Kに外弁箱3を外嵌装着し、その外弁箱3に接続した切削装置(図示せず)を用いて外弁箱3の内部で水道管Kを切削する(切削工程)。外弁箱3は、例えば、水道管Kの管路のうち、補修や撤去が必要な特定区域の上流側に装着される。外弁箱3の装着作業では、固着具を締め付けることで上側部材3Aと下側部材3Bとを互いに接合し、分割部30の隙間を外パッキン5,5で密封する。その際、分割部30に分岐配管7の端部7aを挟み込んで外弁箱3に分岐配管7を接続する。分岐配管7の端部7bには栓体81を装着しておく(図8参照)。
前述の実施形態では、弁装置が、回転式の弁体によって流路を切替可能な切替弁(三方切替弁)として構成されている例を示したが、これに限定されない。したがって、例えば、弁装置が、上述した本出願人による特許文献2に開示されるような、昇降式の弁体によって流路を遮断可能な仕切弁として構成されていてもよい。

Claims (1)
- 既設の流体管に外嵌装着される外弁箱と、その外弁箱に収容され、前記流体管内を流れる流体の流路を遮断または切替可能な弁体を有する内弁箱と、前記外弁箱と前記内弁箱との間を密封する内パッキンとを備え、
前記内パッキンが、前記内弁箱の上部側面の周囲に沿って装着される環状部と、前記環状部から下方に延び、前記内弁箱の側面から底面に亘って装着される複数のU字状部とを有し、
隣り合う前記U字状部の間に、前記外弁箱の内面と前記内弁箱の外面とで挟まれた密閉空間が形成され、
前記内パッキンに、複数の前記U 字状部を互いに連結する連結部が設けられており、
前記連結部が前記U字状部よりも細く形成されている、弁装置。
