Description
請求項5に係る一次電池は、請求項1又は2に記載の一次電池において、前記正極を構成する材料は、三次元ネットワーク構造を有する伸縮性共連続体の構造を備えることを特徴とする。
請求項6に係る一次電池は、請求項1又は2に記載の一次電池において、前記セパレータの露出部分は、前記正極の正極集電体と前記負極の負極集電体の各一部が前記電池筐体からともに露出する側とは反対側から露出していることを特徴とする。
請求項7に係る一次電池は、請求項1又は2に記載の一次電池において、前記正極と前記負極と前記セパレータとを内部に配置し、前記内部への空気の取り込み口が設けられた電池筐体を更に備えることを特徴とする。

実施例1では、カーボンナノファイバを正極1として使用する図1の一次電池100を作製した。
まず、正極1の作製方法を説明する。市販のカーボンナノファイバーゾル[分散媒:水(H2O)、0.4重量%、Sigma-Aldrich製]を試験管に入れ、この試験管を液体窒素中に30分間浸すことでカーボンナノファイバーゾルを完全に凍結させた。カーボンナノファイバーゾルを完全に凍結させた後、凍結させたカーボンナノファイバーゾルをナスフラスコに取り出し、これを凍結乾燥機(東京理科器械株式会社製)により10Pa以下の真空中で乾燥させることで、カーボンナノファイバを含む三次元ネットワーク構造を有する伸縮性共連続体を得た。図5は、この伸縮性共連続体のSEM(Scanning Electron Microscope)画像である。線状のカーボンナノファイバ繊維(正極1の材料)が連続的かつ一体的に連なる構造(共連続体の構造)で立体的に形成されている様子を把握することができる。また、枝分かれや縮れているウェーブ状、カール状、コイル状の繊維が三次元網目構造を持ち、バネのような役割を果たすことから、その共連続体には伸縮性があることも把握できる。発明者は、上記作製方法で得た伸縮性共連続体に引張応力または圧縮応力を加えても応力印加前の形状に復元することを確認している。
作製した一次電池100の電池性能を測定した。電解質溶液には、塩化ナトリウム(NaCl、関東化学製)を1mol/Lの濃度で純水に溶解した溶液を用いた。
実施例2では、実施例1の正極1(カーボンナノファイバを含む三次元ネットワーク構造を有する伸縮性共連続体)に触媒を担持させた場合について説明する。以下では、その触媒の代表として酸化マンガン(MnO2)を担持させる。なお、Mnを任意の金属に変えることで、任意の酸化物を触媒として担持させることができる。
実施例3では、一次電池100の構成を図2の構成に変更し、実施例2と同様にセパレータ5の露出部分から電解質溶液を供給しながら充放電試験を行った。
実施例4では、一次電池100の構成を図3の構成に変更し、実施例2と同様にセパレータ5の露出部分から電解質溶液を供給しながら充放電試験を行った。
実施例5〜実施例7では、負極3に用いる金属を、それぞれ市販の金属亜鉛板(厚さ200μm、ニラコ製)(実施例5)、アルミニウム板(厚さ200μm、ニラコ製)(実施例6)、鉄板(厚さ200μm、ニラコ製)(実施例7)とした。それ以外は実施例2と同様の方法で一次電池100を作製し、セパレータ5の露出部分に電解質溶液を供給しながら放電試験を行った。いずれも一次電池100として作動することが確認された。その測定結果を実施例1〜実施例4とあわせて図8に示す。
参考までに公知の一般的な電池セル構造による放電試験結果を比較例として開示する。比較例1は、セパレータ5の形状を変更し、そのセパレータ5を電解液に浸して予め湿らせた状態で筐体内に入れて密閉する。それ以外は実施例2と同様である。
比較例2は、セパレータ5の形状を変更し、筐体7a,7bの周縁部の一部(約10mm)だけシールをしないことで空気孔を設けて密閉した後に、電解液を注入する。それ以外は実施例2と同様である。

Claims (5)
- 正極及び負極と、
前記正極と前記負極との間に配置され、電池筐体からの露出部分で水を毛細管現象により吸い上げる電解質含有のセパレータと、
前記セパレータが水を吸い上げることで生じる前記正極と前記負極との間の導通を水の存在として検知するセンサと、を備え、
前記セパレータは、
電解質非含有のセパレータと電解質含有のセパレータと電解質非含有のセパレータとを順に積層したセパレータであることを特徴とする水分センサ。 - 前記負極は、
マグネシウム、亜鉛、アルミニウム、鉄のうちいずれかの金属、又は前記金属を主成分とする合金であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の水分センサ。 - 前記正極を構成する材料は、
三次元ネットワーク構造を有する伸縮性共連続体の構造を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の水分センサ。 - 前記セパレータの露出部分は、
前記正極の正極集電体と前記負極の負極集電体の各一部が前記電池筐体からともに露出する側とは反対側から露出していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の水分センサ。 - 前記正極と前記負極と前記セパレータとを内部に配置し、前記内部への空気の取り込み口が設けられた電池筐体を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の水分センサ。
