式(1)によれば、永久磁石数が多くなると、インバータ周波数が大きくなり、モータ制御が難しくなるので、極数を多くすることは望ましくない。量産電気自動車やハイブリッド自動車等のオンボードモータには、8極48溝の構造がよく採られ、この場合の減速比は例えば8.1938である。この例においてホイール径が16インチで、タイヤ外径が600mm(タイヤ外径632mmの205/55R16のタイヤにおいて、車両重量によりタイヤ外径が5%圧縮されたた場合。)とすると、時速120kmのときは、モータ回転数が8700rpmとなり、インバータ周波数は580Hzと大きな値となる。

Claims (4)
- 車輪にモータを組み込んだインホイールモータ車両の車輪の駆動用のアウタロータ型のインホイールモータであって、
複数の永久磁石が内周面に沿って固定された表面磁石型の回転子と、
前記永久磁石を前記回転子に固定するための楔状の突起と、
前記回転子の内側に配置され、外周部に歯と溝とが交互に形成された固定子とを備え、
前記永久磁石の数が32個で前記溝の数が24個であり、
前記回転子の回転軸と直交する方向における前記永久磁石の断面形状は、両端側に磁束の集中を避けるための面取りがされており、前記固定子側が凸形状であることを特徴とするインホイールモータ。 - 前記楔状の突起は、前記回転子と一体に成形されている請求項2に記載のインホイールモータ。
- 前記永久磁石は、前記面取りの位置よりも端部側において、前記楔状の突起と係合している請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のインホイールモータ。
