Description
Claims (15)
- 溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)であって、
第1及び第2のシートメタル片(12、112)と、
前記第1及び第2のシートメタル片同士を端部領域(20)で接合する溶接ジョイント(208)と、
溶接ノッチ(30、30’)の少なくとも一部を充填するキャッピング材料(210)と、を備え、
前記シートメタル片の少なくとも1つは、厚さが0.5mm〜2.0mmの基材層(14)、前記基材層の反対側に形成され、厚さが5μm〜100μmの被覆材料層(18)、及び、前記基材層の両側で前記被覆材料層の少なくとも一部が除去された、前記シートメタル片の対向する両側に形成された個別の前記溶接ノッチを備える前記端部領域を有し、
前記溶接ジョイントは、前記基材層からの材料を含むが、前記被覆材料層からの材料を実質的に含まず、
前記キャッピング材料は、前記溶接ジョイントに直接接触して、前記溶接ブランクアセンブリに対する恒久的付加物となる、ことを特徴とする溶接ブランクアセンブリ。 - 前記キャッピング材料(210)は、前記被覆材料層(18)からの再適用材料を含み、
前記再適用材料は、前記溶接ノッチ(30)から最初に除去され、前記溶接ノッチに沿って堆積され、及びその後前記溶接ジョイント(208)に向けて移動され、これにより、前記溶接ノッチの少なくとも一部を補充する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)。 - 前記キャッピング材料(210)は、前記被覆材料層(18)とは異なる材料組成の追加的材料を含む、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)。
- 前記キャッピング材料(210)は、前記溶接ノッチ(30)の少なくとも一部を埋め、これにより、前記キャッピング材料は、前記基材層(14)及び前記溶接ジョイント(208)の双方と直接接触する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)。
- 前記溶接ジョイント(208)は、前記溶接ブランクアセンブリの溶接領域(220)に位置し、前記キャッピング材料(210)は、前記溶接領域を覆い、これにより、前記溶接ジョイントと前記基材層(14)のいずれも、前記溶接領域の長さの少なくとも一部に沿って露出しない、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)。
- 溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)であって、
第1及び第2のシートメタル片(12、112)と、
前記第1及び第2のシートメタル片を共に、溶接領域(220)に沿って接合する溶接ジョイント(208)と、
前記溶接ジョイントの少なくとも一部で覆うキャッピング材料(210)と、を備え、
前記シートメタル片の少なくとも1つは、基材層(14)及び被覆材料層(18)を有し、
前記溶接ジョイントは、前記基材層からの材料を含むが、前記被覆材料層からの材料を実質的に含まず、
前記キャッピング材料は、前記溶接ジョイントが形成前に前記被覆材料層から除去され、前記溶接ジョイントの形成後に前記溶接ジョイント上に再適用された材料を含む、ことを特徴とする溶接ブランクアセンブリ。 - 前記少なくとも1つのシートメタル片(12,112)は、端部領域(20)に溶接ノッチ(30)を含み、前記被覆材料層(18)の少なくとも一部は除去されており、前記キャッピング材料(210)は、前記溶接ノッチの少なくとも一部を埋める、ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)。
- 前記キャッピング材料(210)は、前記被覆材料層(18)とは異なる材料組成の追加的材料を含む、ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)。
- 前記キャッピング材料(210)は、溶接ノッチ(30)の少なくとも一部を埋め、これにより、前記キャッピング材料は、前記基材層(14)及び前記溶接ジョイント(208)の双方と直接接触する、ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)。
- 前記溶接ジョイント(208)は、前記溶接ブランクアセンブリの溶接領域(220)に位置し、前記キャッピング材料(210)は、前記溶接領域を覆い、これにより、前記溶接ジョイントと前記基材層(14)のいずれも、前記溶接領域の長さの少なくとも一部に沿って露出しない、ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)。
- 溶接ブランクアセンブリ(200)を作製する方法であって、
(a)被覆シートメタル片(12,112)の領域(20,220)から被覆材料(18)を除去して収集し、
(b)前記被覆シートメタル片の前記領域に溶接ジョイント(208)が形成されるように前記シートメタル片を他方のシートメタル片へ溶接し、
(c)前記被覆シートメタル片の前記領域に、キャッピング材料(210)を適用し、これにより、前記溶接ジョイントの少なくとも一部を覆う、ステップを備え、
前記溶接ジョイントは、前記シートメタル片からの基材(14)を含むが、被覆材料を実質的に含まず、
適用された前記キャッピング材料は除去して収集された被覆材料の少なくとも一部を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - ステップ(a)はさらに、レーザービーム(50)からの熱エネルギーを使用して、前記被覆シートメタル片(12、112)の前記領域(20、220)から被覆材料を除去するレーザーアブレーションプロセスで、被覆材料(18)を除去する、ことを備えることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- ステップ(a)はさらに、収集ツール(54、54´)で除去された被覆材料を収集することを備え、前記除去された被覆材料の一部は、前記レーザーアブレーションプロセスの間、前記被覆シートメタル片(12、112)から放出され、前記収集ツールにより収集される、ことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- ステップ(a)はさらに、ステップ(c)で再適用されることができるように、収集ツール(54、54´)で収集された被覆材料を堆積することを備え、
前記収集された被覆材料の一部は、ビード(56)の形状で、前記被覆シートメタル片(12、112)の前記領域(20,220)に沿って堆積されることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。 - ステップ(c)はさらに、前記キャッピング材料(210)が前記シートメタル片(12,112)の前記領域(20、220)へ適用されるにつれて、熱を提供することを備え、前記提供された熱は、前記キャッピング材料を、少なくとも部分的に溶融させ、前記シートメタル片の前記領域へ流れさせ、これにより、前記溶接ジョイント(208)の少なくとも一部を覆う、ことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
