Claims (9)
- 互いに重畳する第1基板及び第2基板、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板との間に位置する液晶層、
前記第1基板の上に位置し、互いに隣接する第1データ線及び第2データ線、
前記第1データ線及び前記第2データ線の上に位置する第1保護膜、
前記第1保護膜の上に位置する第2保護膜、
前記第2保護膜の上に位置し、前記第1データ線及び前記第2データ線と重畳する共通電極、
前記第2保護膜の上に位置し、前記第1データ線及び前記第2データ線と重畳しない画素電極、
前記共通電極と前記画素電極との間に位置する第3保護膜、
前記第1データ線及び前記第2データ線と重畳する遮光部材を備え、
前記遮光部材の幅は前記第1及び第2データ線の幅より大きく、
前記第2保護膜は、前記共通電極と前記第1データ線との間に位置する第1部分と、前記共通電極と前記第2データ線との間に位置する第2部分と、前記第1部分及び前記第2部分に連結されており、前記第1部分と前記第2部分との間に位置する第3部分とを含み、
前記第1部分の最大厚さは前記第3部分の最大厚さより大きい、液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1部分と前記第2部分とは互いに離隔している、
請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第2保護膜の誘電定数は前記第1保護膜の誘電定数より小さい、

請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1保護膜は無機物質を含み、前記第2保護膜は有機物質を含む、
請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記液晶層に電界が生成されていない場合、前記液晶層の液晶分子は前記第1基板の面に対して実質的に平行に配列されている、
請求項3乃至請求項5のうちのいずれか1つに記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1データ線と同一層に位置し、前記第1データ線のソース電極と対向するドレイン電極をさらに備え、
前記第1保護膜と前記第2保護膜は、前記ドレイン電極を露出するコンタクトホールを含み、
前記画素電極は、前記コンタクトホールによって前記ドレイン電極と連結されている、請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第3部分の厚さは、一定である、
