Description
本出願は、2010年11月11日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/412,706号の優先権を主張する。仮出願の内容は参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
腐食抑制剤の試験液の調製
腐食試験は、試験液中に浸漬させた鋼製クーポンを用いて、以下に記載のようにして行った。試験液は脱イオン水を用いて調製した。被抑制試験液では、腐食抑制剤を、乾燥重量に対して0.09%濃度となるように添加した。ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩/オキソ酸アニオン塩腐食抑制剤を、異なる適切なオキソ酸アニオン塩/ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩重量比で含む溶液を調製した。
腐食試験方法
腐食抑制剤としての化合物および化合物混合物を、米国防蝕技術協会(National Association of Corrosion Engineers)(NACE)Standard TM0169−95実験用浸漬試験の変形型を用いて水溶液中で評価した。各溶液の調製のため、および対照標準として蒸留水を使用した。各腐食抑制剤混合物の有効性は、蒸留水中および3%塩化ナトリウム(NaCl)溶液中の両方において測定した。腐食抑制を塩溶液中において測定する際は、蒸留水(300g)中3%のNaClの溶液を塩参照として使用した。各試験液は、腐食抑制剤(270mg)を300mLの蒸留水または3%NaCl溶液のいずれかに溶解させて0.09%抑制剤溶液を得ることにより調製した。次いで、抑制剤試験液のpHを5%水酸化ナトリウムの添加によって塩基性(pH9から10)にした。
水中でのヒドロキシカルボン酸塩とオキソ酸アニオン塩の混合物の腐食抑制
ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩とオキソ酸アニオン塩の混合物の有効性を蒸留水中において試験し、結果を、オキソ酸アニオン塩なしのヒドロキシカルボン酸塩と比較した(表1)。腐食抑制剤試験液は、ホウ酸とD−グルカル酸一カリウム(MKG)を用いて調製し、試験液のpHを水酸化ナトリウムで塩基性にした。ホウ酸ナトリウムは、ホウ酸を水酸化ナトリウムでpH9に中和することにより調製した。すべての場合において、試験液中の腐食抑制剤の総濃度は0.09%とした。
3%塩化ナトリウム中でのヒドロキシカルボン酸塩とオキソ酸アニオン塩の混合物の腐食抑制
ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩とオキソ酸アニオン塩の混合物の有効性を3%塩化ナトリウム中において試験し、結果を、オキソ酸アニオン塩なしのヒドロキシカルボン酸塩と比較した(表2)。腐食抑制剤試験液は、ホウ砂(ホウ酸ナトリウム)、モリブデン酸ナトリウム、アルミン酸ナトリウムまたはこの混合物をオキソ酸アニオン塩成分として用い、D−グルカル酸一カリウム(MKG)、グルカル酸亜鉛、グルコン酸ナトリウム、キシラル酸またはガラクタル酸をヒドロキシカルボン酸塩成分として用いて調製した。各場合において、試験液のpHを水酸化ナトリウムを用いて塩基性にし、試験液中の腐食抑制剤の総濃度は0.09%とした。
グルカル酸塩混合物1の調製
グルカル酸塩混合物1を、米国特許第7,692,041号明細書に記載のグルコースの硝酸酸化によって調製した。酸化混合物から硝酸を除去した後、有機酸生成物を水酸化ナトリウムを用いて中和し、グルカル酸塩混合物1を得た。グルカル酸塩混合物1中のグルカル酸、グルコン酸および酒石酸のナトリウム塩の量を表3に示す。
グルカル酸塩混合物2の調製
米国特許第7,692,041号明細書に記載のようにしてデキストロースを酸化させ、硝酸を分離した。得られた酸化生成物混合物を、水性水酸化カリウムを用いてpH3.5に中和すると析出物が生成した。この固形析出物を濾過によって単離し、濾液を水性水酸化ナトリウムを用いてpH9に中和し、グルカル酸塩混合物2を得た。グルカル酸塩混合物2中のグルカル酸、グルコン酸および酒石酸のナトリウム塩の量を表3に示す。
グルカル酸塩混合物3の調製
グルコン酸ナトリウム(0.27g)をグルカル酸塩混合物2(10.1g,20%w/w)に添加し、グルカル酸塩混合物3を得た。グルカル酸塩混合物3中のグルカル酸、グルコン酸および酒石酸のナトリウム塩の量を表3に示す。
多種類のヒドロキシカルボン酸塩とオキソ酸アニオン塩の混合物の腐食抑制
多種類のヒドロキシカルボン酸塩とオキソ酸アニオン塩の混合物の有効性を蒸留水中および3%塩化ナトリウム中において試験し、結果を、オキソ酸アニオン塩なしの多種類のヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の混合物と比較した(表3)。腐食抑制剤試験液は、ホウ砂(ホウ酸ナトリウム)またはアルミン酸ナトリウムのいずれかをオキソ酸アニオン塩成分として用い、グルカル酸塩混合物1から4(実施例5から7参照)をヒドロキシカルボン酸塩成分として用いて調製した。各場合において、試験液を水酸化ナトリウムで塩基性にし、試験液中の腐食抑制剤の総濃度は0.09%とした。
カルシウム封鎖能
種々の化合物および混合物のカルシウムキレート能を、確立された手順(Wilham,1971)によって測定した。簡単には、封鎖剤(乾燥重量にして1.0g)を脱イオン水に溶解させ、50mLまで希釈した。この溶液のpHを45%水性水酸化ナトリウムを用いて10に調整した後、2%水性シュウ酸ナトリウム(2mL)を添加した。試験液を1%水性酢酸カルシウムで、わずかに混濁するまで滴定した。1mLの1%酢酸カルシウムは6.32mgのCaCO3に相当する。封鎖試験の結果を表4に示す。表4の結果から、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩単独は、封鎖剤1gあたりのCaCO3のmgの値が小さいことを考慮するとカルシウムに対して不充分な封鎖剤である;しかしながら、ホウ酸ナトリウムなどの適切なオキソ酸アニオン塩の添加により、封鎖能が大きく改善されることが明白である。
Claims (8)
- ヒドロキシカルボン酸の少なくとも1種類の塩およびオキソ酸アニオンの少なくとも1種類の塩の混合物を含み、前記ヒドロキシカルボン酸の少なくとも1種類の塩が70重量%から90重量%であり、前記オキソ酸アニオンの少なくとも1種類の塩が10重量%から30重量%である金属用腐食抑制組成物であって、
前記ヒドロキシカルボン酸の少なくとも1種類の塩が、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき40重量%から60重量%の少なくとも1種類のグルカル酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき5重量%から15重量%の少なくとも1種類のグルコン酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき3重量%から9重量%の少なくとも1種類の5−ケト−グルコン酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき5重量%から10重量%の少なくとも1種類の酒石酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき5重量%から10重量%の少なくとも1種類のタルトロン酸塩、およびヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき1重量%から5重量%の少なくとも1種類のグリコール酸塩を含む、前記金属用腐食抑制組成物。 - 少なくとも1種類のグルカル酸塩が、グルカル酸二ナトリウム、グルカル酸カリウムナトリウム、グルカル酸二カリウム、グルカル酸亜鉛、グルカル酸二アンモニウムまたはこの組合せを含む、請求項1に記載の腐食抑制組成物。
- 組成物の全重量に基づき75重量%から85重量%のヒドロキシカルボン酸の少なくとも1種類の塩、および組成物の全重量に基づき15重量%から25重量%のオキソ酸アニオンの少なくとも1種類の塩を含む、請求項1に記載の腐食抑制組成物。
- 組成物の全重量に基づき28重量%から36重量%のグルカル酸の塩、および組成物の全重量に基づき15重量%から25重量%のオキソ酸アニオンの少なくとも1種類の塩を含む、請求項1に記載の腐食抑制組成物。
- 前記ヒドロキシカルボン酸の少なくとも1種類の塩が、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき45重量%から55重量%の少なくとも1種類のグルカル酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき10重量%から15重量%の少なくとも1種類のグルコン酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき4重量%から6重量%の少なくとも1種類の5−ケト−グルコン酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき5重量%から7重量%の少なくとも1種類の酒石酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき5重量%から7重量%の少なくとも1種類のタルトロン酸塩、およびヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき3重量%から5重量%の少なくとも1種類のグリコール酸塩を含む、請求項1に記載の腐食抑制組成物。
- 前記ヒドロキシカルボン酸の少なくとも1種類の塩が、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき50重量%の少なくとも1種類のグルカル酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき15重量%の少なくとも1種類のグルコン酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき4重量%の少なくとも1種類の5−ケト−グルコン酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき6重量%の少なくとも1種類の酒石酸塩、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき6重量%の少なくとも1種類のタルトロン酸塩、およびヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき5重量%の少なくとも1種類のグリコール酸塩を含む、請求項1に記載の腐食抑制組成物。
- 前記オキソ酸アニオンの塩が、ホウ酸ナトリウム、ホウ酸カリウム、オクタホウ酸二ナトリウム、メタホウ酸ナトリウム、モリブデン酸ナトリウム、モリブデン酸カリウム、アルミン酸ナトリウム、アルミン酸カリウム、スズ酸ナトリウム、スズ酸カリウム、ゲルマニウム酸ナトリウム、ゲルマニウム酸カリウム、亜アンチモン酸ナトリウム、亜アンチモン酸カリウム、またはこの組合せである、請求項1に記載の腐食抑制組成物。
- 前記ヒドロキシカルボン酸の少なくとも1種類の塩が、ヒドロキシカルボン酸塩の全重量に基づき40重量%から50重量%のグルカル酸の塩を含む、請求項1に記載の腐食抑制組成物。
