Description
実施例1〜3のそれぞれにおいて、履物のミッドソール用の型を備えた圧縮型に、BASF Corporation(Wyandotte,Michigan)から入手した熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズ(長さ10mm±2mm、0.5mm±0.2mmの直径、0.28〜0.3g/cm3の密度)の表1に示される量を充填した。型を閉鎖し、次に、型を、ホットプレート間で、600秒間で、約18〜22℃から、160℃の温度に加熱した。型を、コールドプレート間で、600秒間の期間にわたって、8℃の温度にすぐに冷却した。成形されたミッドソールを、測定のために型から取り出した。このように成形された3つのミッドソール実施例1〜3のそれぞれについて密度および弾性を測定し、値を表1に記録する。
実施例4および5のそれぞれにおいて、20mmの厚さを有する矩形スラブ用の型を備えた圧縮型に、実施例1〜3に使用されるもののような熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズの表2に示される量を充填した。型を閉鎖し、次に、型を、ホットプレート間で、所定の期間にわたって、約18〜22℃から表2に示される温度まで加熱した。型を、コールドプレート間で、600秒間の期間にわたって、8℃の温度にすぐに冷却した。成形されたスラブを、測定のために型から取り出した。このように成形されたミッドソール実施例のそれぞれについて密度を測定し、値を表2に記録する。
Prissokらの米国特許出願公開第2010/0222442号明細書に開示されるように蒸気加熱を用いて比較例を調製した。この実施例において、実施例1〜3に使用されるもののようなビーズを、実施例1〜3と同様のミッドソール型を備えた圧縮型に入れ、型を閉鎖した。ビーズを、型に注入される蒸気を用いて、1〜2分間で、室温(約22℃)から約120℃に加熱し、次に、約2〜3分間で約22℃に冷却する。成形されたミッドソールの密度は、0.35g/cm3であった。
Claims (18)
- 発泡成形品を型成形する方法であって、
物品の形状に形成された圧縮型内に、0.01g/cm3 〜0.3g/cm3の密度を有する所望の量の熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズを配置する工程と、
前記圧縮型を閉鎖する工程と、
前記圧縮型の温度を、300秒間〜1500秒間の時間をかけて130℃〜180℃のピーク温度に至らせる工程と、
前記ピーク温度に達してから30秒以内の後に、300秒間〜1500秒間の時間をかけて5℃〜80℃の温度にまで前記圧縮型を冷却する工程と、
成形品を取り出す工程と、
を含む方法。 - 型成形の前記ピーク温度が、140℃〜170℃である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズは、0.01g/cm3 〜0.1g/cm3の密度を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズは、ASTM D1238に準拠した測定で(190℃、21.6kgで)少なくとも160グラム/10分のメルトフローインデックスを有する熱可塑性ポリウレタンを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズは、ASTM D1238に準拠した測定で(190℃、21.6kgで)180グラム/10分〜250グラム/10分のメルトフローインデックスを有する熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマーを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズは、熱可塑性ポリエステル−ポリウレタン、熱可塑性ポリエーテル−ポリウレタンおよび熱可塑性ポリカーボネート−ポリウレタンからなる群から選択される熱可塑性ポリウレタン系エラストマーを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズは、熱可塑性ポリエステル−ポリウレタンエラストマーを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズは、熱可塑性ポリエーテル−ポリウレタンエラストマーを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリエーテル−ポリウレタンエラストマーは、ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネートの反応生成物である、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズは、0.5mm〜1.5cmの直径を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズは、緻密な外被を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記配置する工程における前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズおよび前記圧縮型の温度がそれぞれ、80℃未満である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 0.1g/cm3 〜0.45g/cm3の密度を有する発泡成形品を提供できるように、前記圧縮型内に配置される前記熱可塑性ポリウレタン発泡体ビーズの量が選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記圧縮型の温度を、300秒間〜1200秒間の時間をかけて前記ピーク温度に至らせる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 9マイクロメートル〜200マイクロメートルの外被厚さを有する成形品を生成するように、前記ピーク温度が選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記圧縮型が、300秒間〜1200秒間の時間をかけて冷却される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記圧縮型を冷却する工程が、前記ピーク温度に達した直後に開始される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記圧縮型が、0.09℃/秒〜0.55℃/秒の冷却速度で冷却される、請求項1に記載の方法。
