Description
導電性ポリマーは、好ましくは、チオフェンポリマーである、水溶性ポリエチレンジオキシチオフェン(PEDOT)である。より好ましくは、前記導電性ポリマーは、分子量150,000〜2000,000であり、ドーパントであるポリスチレンスルホネート(PSS)でドープされた、ポリエチレンジオキシチオフェン(PEDOT)である。ポリエチレンジオキシチオフェン(PEDOT)は水溶性の傾向があり、熱、水分、およびUV光に高い安定性を有する。本明細書中、「PEDOT」の用語は、PSSでドープされたものを意味する。
硬化性樹脂としては、例えば、ポリエステル樹脂、ポリエーテル樹脂、アクリル樹脂、ウレタン樹脂、アルキド樹脂、スピロアセタール樹脂、ポリブタジエン樹脂、ポリチオールポリエン樹脂の(メタ)アクリレート樹脂などのアクリレート基を有する樹脂、または相対的に低分子量の多官能化合物(例えば、多価アルコール)が用いられうる。
前記帯電防止コーティング組成物は、コーティング層の樹脂ベースフィルムへの接着強度を高めるために、少なくとも1種のヒドロキシアクリレート化合物を含む。前記ヒドロキシアクリレート化合物の具体的な例としては、2−ヒドロキシエチルアクリレートオリゴマー、2−ヒドロキシプロピルアクリレートオリゴマー、およびペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレートオリゴマーなどのオリゴマー;ならびに2−ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート、ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート、2−ヒドロキシプロピルメタクリレート、2−ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート、2−ヒドロキシプロピルアクリレート、カルジュラ(Cardura)アクリレート、カルジュラ(Cardura)メタクリレート、カプロラクトンアクリレート、カプロラクトンメタクリレート、2,3−ジヒドロキシプロピルアクリレート、2,3−ジヒドロキシプロピルメタクリレート、4−ヒドロキシメチルシクロヘキシルメチルアクリレートおよび4−ヒドロキシメチルシクロヘキシルメチルメタクリレートなどのモノマーが挙げられる。
セルロース化合物は、その良好な耐熱性および被覆性によって、フィルムまたはプラスチックの支持体上に硬質なコーティングを形成するのに有用である。耐熱性セルロース誘導体の具体的な例としては、酢酸酪酸セルロース(CAB)、酢酸プロピオン酸セルロース(CAP)および酢酸セルロース(CA)などのセルロースのエステル化生成物が挙げられる。このようなセルロース誘導体は、容易に合成でき、分子中にエステル基が存在するため、フィルムまたはプラスチックの支持体上にコーティングを形成できる。
任意の公知の光重合開始剤が、前記帯電防止コーティング組成物に制限されず用いられうるが、その具体的な例としては、特に制限されないが、アセトフェノン、1−ヒドロキシシクロヘキシルフェニルケトンなどのベンゾフェノン、ミヒラーズ(Michler’s)ベンゾイルベンゾエート、α−アミルオキシムエステル、およびチオキサントンなどが挙げられる。
前記帯電防止コーティング層は、光増感剤、重合防止剤、滑剤、湿潤性改善剤、界面活性剤、可塑剤、UV吸収剤、酸化防止剤、帯電防止剤、シランカップリング剤、無機充填剤および消泡剤から選択される少なくとも1つの添加剤をさらに含んでもよい。
ポリエチレンジオキシチオフェンの分散液(Baytron PH,Starck)5gを、40gのエタノールおよびエトキシエタノールの溶液(1:1)に10分間分散させて、「溶液A」を調製した。ジペンタエリスリトールヘキサアクリレート(DPHA)3.2g、ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート(HEMA)0.5g、酢酸酪酸セルロース0.6g、および光重合開始剤であるイルガキュア184(Ciba−Geigy)0.7gを、50gのエタノールおよびエトキシエタノールの溶液(1:1)に10分間分散させて、「溶液B」を調製した。
帯電防止組成物をトリアセチルセルロースフィルムの一方の表面上にコートした後、偏光子を前記トリアセチルセルロースフィルムの他方の表面上に積層し、偏光フィルムを製造した。その後、アクリル系感圧接着剤を、約25μmの厚さで塗布し、その上にリリースフィルムを積層した。積層体を一定の温度(23±2℃)および湿度(55±5%)の条件下で、約7日間エージングした。前記リリースフィルムを積層体から除去し、得られた構造体を一定の荷重下でベアLCDガラスに取り付けた。試片を40℃で約72時間エージングし、室温で1時間放置した。フィルムをベアガラスから剥がした後、ガラス上に残った感圧接着剤の量を観察し、結果を以下の基準に従って評価した:
良:感圧接着剤がガラス上に残らなかった
否:少量の感圧接着剤がガラス上に残った。
酢酸酪酸セルロース(CAB)に代えて酢酸プロピオン酸セルロース(CAP)を用いたことを除いては、実施例1の手順を繰り返した。
ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート(HEMA)および酢酸酪酸セルロース(CAB)に代えて4.3gのジペンタエリスリトールヘキサアクリレート(DPHA)を用いたことを除いては、実施例1の手順を繰り返した。
Claims (7)
- 偏光子、ベースフィルムである樹脂フィルム、帯電防止コーティング層、および感圧接着剤層をこの順に含み、前記帯電防止コーティング層が、導電性ポリマー、硬化性樹脂、ヒドロキシアクリレート化合物、セルロース化合物、および光重合開始剤を含み、
前記セルロース化合物が、酢酸酪酸セルロース(CAB)、酢酸プロピオン酸セルロース(CAP)、またはこれらの混合物であり、
前記ヒドロキシアクリレート化合物が、2−ヒドロキシエチルアクリレートオリゴマー、2−ヒドロキシプロピルアクリレートオリゴマー、およびペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレートオリゴマーを含むオリゴマー;ならびに2−ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート、ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート、2−ヒドロキシプロピルメタクリレート、2−ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート、2−ヒドロキシプロピルアクリレート、カルジュラ(Cardura)アクリレート、カルジュラ(Cardura)メタクリレート、カプロラクトンアクリレート、カプロラクトンメタクリレート、2,3−ジヒドロキシプロピルアクリレート、2,3−ジヒドロキシプロピルメタクリレート、4−ヒドロキシメチルシクロヘキシルメチルアクリレートおよび4−ヒドロキシメチルシクロヘキシルメチルメタクリレートを含むモノマーからなる群から選択される、偏光フィルム。 - 前記帯電防止コーティング層が、前記導電性ポリマー0.001〜20重量%、前記硬化性樹脂1〜80重量%、前記ヒドロキシアクリレート化合物1〜60重量%、前記セルロース化合物0.1〜40重量%、および前記光重合開始剤0.1〜20重量%を含む、請求項1に記載の偏光フィルム。
- 前記導電性ポリマーが、ポリスチレンスルホネート(PSS)でドープされたポリエチレンジオキシチオフェン(PEDOT)である、請求項1または2に記載の偏光フィルム。
- 前記光重合開始剤が、アセトフェノン、ベンゾフェノン、ミヒラーズベンゾイルベンゾエート、α−アミルオキシムエステル、チオキサントン、およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の偏光フィルム。
- 前記帯電防止コーティング層が、前記樹脂フィルムの前記偏光子が接着された表面と反対側の表面の上に形成される、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の偏光フィルム。
- 前記帯電防止コーティング層が、50〜400nmの厚さである、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の偏光フィルム。
- 保護フィルム、樹脂フィルム、偏光子、ベースフィルムである樹脂フィルム、帯電防止コーティング層、感圧接着剤層、およびリリースフィルムをこの順に有する、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の偏光フィルム。
