Description
本願は、2005年3月28日に出願された、米国仮出願番号60/665,715からの優先権の利益を主張する。

本発明は、
(a)潤滑粘度の油;

炭化水素置換基(すなわち、脂肪族置換基(例えば、アルキルまたはアルケニル)、脂環式置換基(例えば、シクロアルキル、シクロアルケニル)、ならびに芳香族置換された芳香族置換基、脂肪族置換された芳香族置換基、および脂環式置換された芳香族置換基、ならびに環が分子の別の部分を介して結合している(例えば、2つの置換基が一緒になって1つの環を形成する)環式置換基);
置換炭化水素置換基(すなわち、本明細書の文脈において、置換基の主として炭化水素の性質を変化させない非炭化水素基(例えば、ハロ(特に、クロロおよびフルオロ)、ヒドロキシ、アルコキシ、メルカプト、アルキルメルカプト、ニトロ、ニトロソ、ならびにスルホキシ)を含む置換基);

Claims (10)
- 内燃機関を潤滑させるための方法であって、該方法は、該機関に潤滑組成物を供給する工程を包含し、該潤滑組成物は、
(a)潤滑粘度の油;
(b)20,000未満の数平均分子量を有する油溶性チタン含有物質の形態の、重量で10ppm〜1000ppmのチタン;
(c)Ti含有酸化防止剤以外の酸化防止剤、および
(d)サリチル酸洗浄剤を含むTi含有洗浄剤以外の0.1重量%〜5.0重量%の金属含有洗浄剤、
を含有する、方法。 - 前記油溶性チタン含有物質が、チタン(IV)アルコキシドまたはチタン(IV)カルボン酸塩を含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記油溶性チタン含有物質が、チタン(IV)イソプロポキシドを含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記油溶性チタン含有物質が、チタンで修飾された分散剤を含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物中のモリブデンの量が、重量で150ppm未満である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記潤滑組成物が、
(e)耐磨耗剤、および
(f)分散剤、
からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の添加剤をさらに含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記耐磨耗剤が、リン含有耐磨耗剤を含有する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が、重量で1200ppm未満のリンを含有する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記内燃機関が、ヘビーデューティーディーゼル機関である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 潤滑組成物であって、
(a)潤滑粘度の油;
(b)油溶性チタン含有物質の形態の、10ppm〜50ppm未満のチタンであって、該油溶性チタン含有物質は、チタンアルコキシド、チタンで修飾された分散剤、芳香族カルボン酸のチタン塩、および硫黄含有酸のチタン塩からなる群より選択される、チタン;ならびに
(c)少なくとも1種の添加剤であって、サリチル酸洗浄剤を含む洗浄剤である、添加剤、
を含有する、潤滑組成物。
