JIS K7161及びJIS K6251に準拠して、JIS K7161の「4.6 引張弾性率」に規定される引張弾性率を測定し、算出した。試料の形状は、「ダンベル状3号型」とした。測定は、23℃の環境下で状態調節してから行った。
JIS Z0237の10.4に基づいて、ステンレス(SUS304)板に対する180度引きはがし粘着力(N/25mm)を測定した。ここで、粘着力の測定チャートが波打つときには、その凸点の平均値と凹点の平均値とをそれぞれ求め、その平均値を180度引きはがし粘着力とした。ポリプロピレン板に対する180度引きはがし粘着力も同じ要領で測定した。
得られた接合品の剪断試験は、インストロン3382(インストロンコーポレーション)により行った。図3に示すように、第1部材2と同様の部材5を第2部材4の接合面と同じ面上にナットで接合し、第1部材2及び部材5に対して平行(図の矢印方向)な引張力を加え、剪断試験を行った。その際、剪断速度を10mm/secとし、最大強度を求めた。得られた最大強度を剪断強度とした。
・ポリプロピレン(PP)
幅25mm、長さ50mm、厚さ2mmのポリプロピレンからなる板(新神戸電機株式会社製「PP−N−BN」)を用いた。
・ポリオキシメチレン(POM)
幅25mm、長さ50mm、厚さ2mmのポリオキシメチレン(POM)樹脂からなる板(日本ポリペンコ株式会社製「ポリペンコアセタール コポリマー」)を用いた。
・アルミニウム(AL)
幅25mm、長さ50mm、厚さ1.5mmのアルミニウム板を用いた。
・高張力鋼板(HT)

カルボキシル基を有する単量体で変性されたSEBS(スチレン含有量32重量%、分子量52,000)20重量部、テルペン樹脂(ヤスハラケミカル株式会社製「YSレジンTO−115」)20重量部、赤外線吸収剤(昭和電工株式会社製「IR−T」)0.05重量及びトルエン60重量部を計量し、容器の中に入れて18時間封をして放置した後、均一になるまでスクリューで攪拌し、離型紙上に塗工機にて塗布してから乾燥し、厚さ100ミクロンのレーザー接合用シートを得た。得られた接合用シートの引張弾性率は4.08MPaであった。
実施例1において、テルペン樹脂20重量部の代わりに、水添テルペンスチレン樹脂(ヤスハラケミカル株式会社製「クリアロンK−115」)20重量部を使用した以外は実施例1と同様にして厚さ100ミクロンの接合用シートを得た。得られた接合用シートの引張弾性率は5.97MPaであった。得られた接合用シートのステンレス板(SUS304)に対する180度引きはがし粘着力は、凸点平均で17.5N/25mm、凹点平均で16.2N/25mm、凹凸平均で16.9N/25mmであった。また、ポリプロピレン板に対する180度引きはがし粘着力は、凸点平均で13.5N/25mm、凹点平均で7.3N/25mm、凹凸平均で10.4N/25mmであった。すなわち、金属に対しても樹脂に対しても、十分な粘着力を有するものであった。この接合用シートを用いて実施例1と同様にレーザー光を照射し、剪断強度を測定した。第1部材としてポリプロピレン(PP)板を、第2部材としてアルミニウム(AL)板を用いた試験のみを行った。結果を表1にまとめて示す。
実施例1において、テルペン樹脂を使用せず、実施例1と同じ変性SEBS40重量部、実施例1と同じ赤外線吸収剤0.05重量及びトルエン60重量部を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして厚さ100ミクロンの接合用シートを得た。得られた接合用シートの引張弾性率は81.5MPaであった。得られたシートは特に粘着性は有していなかった。この接合用シートを用いて実施例1と同様にレーザー光を照射し、剪断強度を測定した。結果を表1にまとめて示す。
株式会社クラレ製アクリル系ブロック共重合体「LA2140E」100重量部、デグッサ社製カーボンブラック「PRINTEX G」0.2重量部及びトルエン150重量部を計量し、容器の中に入れて18時間封をして放置した後、均一になるまでスクリューで攪拌し、離型紙上に塗工機にて塗布してから乾燥し、厚さ100ミクロンのレーザー接合用シートを得た。ここで、「LA2140E」は、メチルメタクリレート−nブチルアクリレート−メチルメタクリレートのトリブロック共重合体である。得られた接合用シートの引張弾性率は0.5MPaであった。得られた接合用シートのステンレス板(SUS304)に対する180°引きはがし粘着力は、凸点平均で8.7N/25mm、凹点平均で5.3N/25mm、凹凸平均で7.0N/25mmであった。
実施例3において、株式会社クラレ製アクリル系ブロック共重合体「LA2140E」70重量部、株式会社クラレ製アクリル系ブロック共重合体「LA1114」30重量部、デグッサ社製カーボンブラック「PRINTEX G」0.2重量部及びトルエン150重量部を用いた以外は、実施例3と同様にしてレーザー接合用シートを得た。ここで、「LA1114」は、メチルメタクリレート−nブチルアクリレートのジブロック共重合体である。得られた接合用シートの引張弾性率は0.4MPaであった。得られた接合用シートのステンレス板(SUS304)に対する180°引きはがし粘着力は、凸点平均で9.0N/25mm、凹点平均で5.6N/25mm、凹凸平均で7.3N/25mmであった。この接合用シートを用いて、実施例3と同様にレーザー照射して接合品を得た。剪断強度を測定した結果を表2にまとめて示す。
実施例3において、実施例1で用いたのと同じSEBS100重量部、デグッサ社製カーボンブラック「PRINTEX G」0.2重量部及びトルエン150重量部を用いた以外は、実施例3と同様にしてレーザー接合用シートを得た。得られた接合用シートの引張弾性率は82.0MPaであった。得られたシートは特に粘着性を有していなかった。この接合用シートを用いて、実施例3と同様にレーザー照射して接合品を得た。剪断強度を測定した結果を表2にまとめて示す。
Claims (14)
- レーザー光に対して透過性を有する材料からなる第1部材と、第1部材と同一又は異なる材料からなる第2部材とをレーザー溶着法により接合するために、レーザー光の照射に先立って第1部材と第2部材の間に挟まれるレーザー接合用中間部材であって、該レーザー接合用中間部材が粘着性を有することを特徴とするレーザー接合用中間部材。
- 前記レーザー接合用中間部材が、ベースポリマー及び粘着性付与剤からなる樹脂組成物よりなる請求項1記載のレーザー接合用中間部材。
- 前記ベースポリマーがエラストマーである請求項2記載のレーザー接合用中間部材。
- 前記ベースポリマーが、極性官能基を有する単量体で変性されたものである請求項2又は3記載のレーザー接合用中間部材。
- 前記ベースポリマー100重量部に対して前記粘着性付与剤を1〜500重量部含有する、請求項2〜4のいずれかに記載のレーザー接合用中間部材。
- 前記レーザー接合用中間部材のベースポリマーが、アクリル系ブロック共重合体である請求項1〜5のいずれか記載のレーザー接合用中間部材。
- レーザー光の吸収剤を含有する、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のレーザー接合用中間部材。
- 厚さが10〜5000μmである、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のレーザー接合用中間部材。
- 23℃における引張弾性率が0.01〜500MPaである請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のレーザー接合用中間部材。
- 前記レーザー接合用中間部材の、JIS Z0237の10.4に基づいて測定したSUS304板に対する180度引きはがし粘着力が0.1N/25mm以上である請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のレーザー接合用中間部材。
- レーザー光に対して透過性を有する材料からなる第1部材と、第1部材と同一又は異なる材料からなる第2部材とを接合する接合方法であって、粘着性を有するレーザー接合用中間部材を第1部材と第2部材の間に挟み、第1部材側からレーザー光を照射することによって前記レーザー接合用中間部材を溶融させて、第1部材と第2部材とを接合することを特徴とする接合方法。
- 前記第2部材が第1部材とは異なる材料からなる、請求項11記載の接合方法。
- レーザー光の照射により前記レーザー接合用中間部材の一部のみを溶融させる、請求項11又は12記載の接合方法。
- レーザー光に対して透過性を有する材料からなる第1部材と、第1部材と同一又は異なる材料からなる第2部材と、第1部材と第2部材の間に挟まれ且つ第1部材及び第2部材のそれぞれに対してレーザー照射によって融着したレーザー接合用中間部材とを有する接合品であって、前記レーザー接合用中間部材が粘着性を有することを特徴とする接合品。
