Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 本発明はレーザを利用した樹脂材等の部材の接
着方法に関する。
(従来の技術) 従来、樹脂材等の部材の接着方法には超音波加
熱、振動による摩擦熱、熱板等を利用して熱可塑
性を有する樹脂材を溶融させて接着を行う方法、
あるいは例えば接着させようとする部材間に接着
剤を介在せしめ、この接着剤を電磁誘導により加
熱させることで接着力を生ぜしめ接着を行うよう
にした方法が知られる。
(発明が解決しようとする問題点) しかしながらかかる方法によれば、前者の場
合、即ち超音波加熱、振動による摩擦熱、熱板等
を利用する場合には、溶融した樹脂が空気に触れ
反応し易いこと、又接着時において樹脂材を接着
位置に密着させるようにするため位置ずれが生じ
易いという問題がある。
又、後者の場合、即ち接着剤を電磁誘導にて加
熱して接着させる方法においては、予じめ接着剤
の中にフエライトなどを混入させておかなければ
ならずコストが高くなり、又配設される誘導コイ
ル等の形状から被接着物の形状が拘束されるとい
う問題がある。
そこで、本発明はかかる従来の問題点を解決す
べく成されたもので、その目的とする処は、溶融
部が酸素と反応し難く、接着時に位置ずれが生ず
ることもなく、又、接着剤を用いた接着において
は、接着剤にフエライトを混入する必要もなく低
コストで、しかも誘導コイル等により被接着物の
形状が拘束されることもない部材の接着方法を提
供するにある。
(問題点を解決するための手段) 上述した問題点を解決するため本発明は、共に
熱可塑性を有し、一方1のみがレーザ光10を透
過する透過性を有する第1、第2の樹脂材1,2
を密着せしめ、又は少なくとも一方5が透過性を
有する第1、第2の部材5,6をレーザ光10を
吸収して加熱されることで接着作用を有する接着
材7を介して密着せしめ、前記透過性を有する樹
脂材1又は前記透過性を有する部材5を介してレ
ーザ光10を照射し、第1、第2の樹脂材1,2
又は第1、第2の部材5,6を接着するようにし
てなる。
(作用) 前記手段によれば、レーザ光10は透過性の樹
脂材1、又は透過性の部材5を透過して他方の樹
脂材表面2a又は接着剤表面7aにて吸収され、
第1、第2の樹脂材1,2の接合面を加熱溶融さ
れ、又は接着材7を加熱して第1、第2の樹脂材
1と2又は第1、第2の部材5,6とを接着する
ことができる。
(実施例) 以下に本発明の実施例を添付図面に基づいて説
明する。
第1図は共に熱可塑性を有する樹脂材の接着方
法を示す図である。
第1図において1は熱可塑性を有し、レーザ光
10を透過させる透過性を有する第1の樹脂材、
一方、2は同じく熱可塑性を有するがレーザ光を
透過させる透過性は有しない第2の樹脂材であ
り、この第1の樹脂材1と第2の樹脂材2との接
着すべき接着面1a,2aを夫々密着させ、両樹
脂材1,2を透過性を有するガラス板3,4にて
支持する。
そしてかかる後に第1の樹脂材を支持するガラ
ス板3、及び第1の樹脂材1を介して例えば
YAGレーザ等のレーザ光10を第2の樹脂材2
に向けて照射すると、レーザ光10はガラス板3
及び第1の樹脂材1を透過して第2の樹脂材2の
接着面2aにて吸収され、両接着面1a,2aを
加熱溶融し、第1、第2の樹脂材1,2を接着せ
しめる。
第2図は加熱されることにより接着作用を有す
る接着剤を用いた接着方法を示す図である。
第2図において5,6は夫々例えばポリエチレ
ンからなる第1、第2の部材であり、このうち第
1の部材5はレーザ光10を透過させる透過性を
有する。そして夫々接着させる接着面5a,6a
を例えばカーボンブラツクを含有するポリエチレ
ン7を介在させて密着させ、第1、第2の部材
5,6を透過性を有するガラス板8,9で支持す
る。ここで前記ポリエチレン7は加熱されると溶
融し接着作用を有する接着剤として機能する。
そしてかかる後に第1の部材5を支持するガラ
ス板3、及び第1の部材5を介して例えばYAG
レーザ等のレーザ光10を接着剤として使用され
たカーボンブラツクを含有したポリエチレン7に
向けて照射すると、レーザ光10はガラス板8及
び第1の部材5を透過してポリエチレン7の表面
7aにて吸収され、該ポリエチレン7を加熱溶融
して第1、第2の部材5,6を接着せしめる。
こうして本発明によれば接着すべき樹脂材等の
部材を予じめ密着させて支持させておき、しかる
後にレーザ光にて非接触で接着するようにしたた
め、接着面の位置ずれが生ずることなく、又、接
触面が酸素に触れて反応することもなく、更に接
着剤を使用する場合にも従来のようにフエライト
を混入させておく必要もない。更に又、レーザ発
振器の位置等を適宜に変更することで被接着物等
の形状が拘束されることもない。
尚、本発明は実施例に限定されることなく、例
えば本実施例では樹脂材等の支持をガラス板等を
用いて行つたが、これに代わり透明なアクリル板
等を使用するようにしてもよく、又あるいは他の
支持方法を用いるようにしてもよい。
(発明の効果) 以上の説明より明らかな如く本発明によれば、 溶融部が酸素と反応し難く、接着時に位置ずれ
が生ずることもなく、又接着剤を用いる接着にお
いては接着剤にフエライトを混入する必要もなく
低コストで、更に誘導コイル等により接着物の形
状が拘束されることもないレーザによる部材の接
着方法を提供し得る。
【図面の簡単な説明】
第1図は共に熱可塑性を有する樹脂材の接着方

作用を有する接着剤を用いた接着方法を示す図で
ある。 そして図面中1は透過性を有する第1の樹脂

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 共に熱可塑性を有し、一方のみがレーザ光を
    透過する透過性を有する第1、第2の樹脂材を密
    着せしめ、 または少なくとも一方が透過性を有する第1、
    第2の部材をレーザ光を吸収して加熱されること
    で接着作用を有する接着材を介して密着せしめ、 前記透過性を有する樹脂材又は前記透過性を有
    する部材を介してレーザ光を照射し、第1、第2
    の樹脂材又は第1、第2の部材を接着するように
    したレーザによる部材の接着方法。
