Description

Claims (7)
- 動脈等の体腔内に移植される半径方向に拡張可能であり、半径方向の拡張の前後を通して円筒形状を保持し、軸方向には実質的に収縮しない柔軟性を向上させたステントにおいて、
円筒形状を規定する細長通路を構成する3個以上の円周方向要素であって、それぞれ、前記ステントの円筒形状を規定し波形状の一連の湾曲部を有し、各湾曲部は、谷と山とを有し、前記谷は、前記円周方向要素の他の部分よりも、隣接する円周方向要素よりも遠くにあるような前記円周方向要素の一部であり、前記山は、前記円周方向要素の他の部分よりも、隣接する円周方向要素により近くにあるような前記円周方向要素の一部であるようにされた3個以上の円周方向要素と、
前記3個以上の円周方向要素の間に前記ステントの円筒形状を規定する2個以上のギャップと、
を有し、
前記ギャップの少なくとも1つは、該少なくとも1つのギャップの両側の前記円周方向要素の軸方向で相互に対向する谷に連結された端部を有し、これらの谷が軸方向で相互に近づくのを阻止するようにした第1の軸方向要素によって張り渡され、
前記ギャップの少なくとも1つは、該少なくとも1つのギャップの両側の前記円周方向要素に、第1の軸方向要素の前記端部とは軸方向で整合しない位置で連結された端部を有し、軸方向の力が加えられることにより軸方向に延びる手段を有する第2の軸方向要素を有し、
前記第1の軸方向要素が張り渡された前記ギャップと、前記第2の軸方向要素が張り渡されたギャップとは交互に形成されていること
を特徴とする円周方向に拡張可能で軸方向には実質的に収縮しない柔軟性を向上させたステント。 - 前記第1の軸方向要素は、直線形状で前記ステントの前記中央軸に平行とされていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の円周方向に拡張可能で軸方向には実質的に収縮しない柔軟性を向上させたステント。
- 前記ギャップは、狭いギャップと広いギャップとを有し、前記広いギャップは狭いギャップよりも広い幅を有し、前記広いギャプと狭いギャップは交互に形成され、前記広いギャップは、前記第2の軸方向要素を有し、前記狭いギャップは、前記第1の軸方向要素を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の円周方向に拡張可能で軸方向には実質的に収縮しない柔軟性を向上させたステント。
- 前記軸方向に延びる手段は、左端で前記円周方向要素に取り付けられる左側アームと、右端で前記円周方向要素と隣接する円周方向要素に取り付けられる右側アームと、前記左側アームを右側アームに取り付けるエルボーとを有し、
前記左側アームと右側アームとは、互いに非平行状態に方向付けられ、前記エルボーは、左端で左側アームに取り付けられ、右端で右側アームに取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項1記載の円周方向に拡張可能で軸方向には収縮しない柔軟性を向上させたステント。 - 前記湾曲させる手段は、前記エルボーが、前記左側アームと右側アームと共通の材料から形成され、前記左側アームと右側アームよりも細い幅を含むことを特徴とする請求項4記載の円周方向に拡張可能で軸方向には実質的に収縮しない柔軟性を向上させたステント。
- 前記エルボーは、前記エルボーの内側に湾曲部と、前記エルボーの外側に少なくとも1つの凹部とを有し、 前記エルボーは、前記凹部と前記湾曲部との間では、前記左側アームと右側アームのよりも細いことを特徴とする請求項5記載の円周方向に拡張可能で軸方向には実質的に収縮しない柔軟性を向上させたステント。
- 前記エルボーは、前記左側アームに隣接するエルボーの端部に左側凹部と、前記右側アームに隣接するエルボーの端部右側凹部とを有し、前記左側凹部と右側凹部とは、前記左側アームと右側アームよりも細い距離だけ、前記エルボーの湾曲部から離間していることを特徴とする請求項6記載の円周方向に拡張可能で軸方向には実質的に収縮しない柔軟性を向上させたステント。
