(前記式で、0.9≦x≦1.1、0≦y≦0.5、0≦z≦0.5、0≦α≦2であり、MとM'は、同一又は異なり、Mg、Al、Co、K、Na、Ca、Si、Ti、Sn、V、Ge、Ga、B、As、Zr、Mn、Cr、Fe、Sr、V、及び希土類元素からなる群から選択され、Aは、O、F、S、及びPからなる群より選ばれ、Xは、F、S、及びPからなる群より選ばれる。)
以下、本発明の実施例及び比較例を示す。しかし、以下の実施例は、本発明の望ましい一実施例であるだけで、本発明が以下の実施例に限定されるものではない。
正極活物質としてLiCoO2、バインダーとしてポリビニリデンフルオライド(PVDF)及び、導電剤としてカーボンを92:4:4の重量比で混合した後、N-メチル-2-ピロリドンに分散し、正極スラリーを製造した。このスラリーを厚さ20μmのアルミフォイルにコーティングした後、乾燥、圧延して、正極を製造した。負極活物質として、人造黒鉛、バインダーとして、スチレン-ブタジエンゴム及び、増粘剤として、カルボキシメチルセルロースを 96:2:2の重量比で混合した後、水に分散させて、負極活物質スラリーを製造した。このスラリーを厚さ15μmの銅ホイルにコーティングした後、乾燥、圧延して、負極を製造した。
実施例1
実施例2から10
比較例1及び実施例1から10のリチウム二次電池に対して、1C/4.2V定電流-定電圧、20mAhカット-オフ充電した後、3C/3Vカット-オフ放電を行った。比較例1の放電容量を100%基準とし、3C放電容量を計算し、その結果を表1に示した。上記値は各々、10個の電池に対して測定した平均値である。
比較例1及び実施例1から10のリチウム二次電池に対し、1C/4.2V定電流-定電圧、20mAhカット-オフ充電した後、1C/3.0Vカット-オフ放電をした。上記充放電を300サイクル行い、比較例1の300サイクル目放電容量を100%基準とし、300サイクル容量維持率を計算し、その結果を表1に示した。上記値は各々、10個の電池に対して測定した平均値である。
満充電された比較例1及び実施例1から10のリチウム二次電池を、5φの釘で、電池の長手軸に垂直に、40mm/sec以上の速度で、中心を完全に貫通させた。電池の状態を確認して、その結果を表1に示した。
例えば、20L4であると、テストをした20個の電池全てが煙を発生したことを意味する。
Claims (30)
- 正極と、負極と、前記2つの電極を隔離させるセパレータと、非水性電解液とを含むリチウム二次電池において、
前記セパレータは、セラミック物質とバインダーとにより形成されてなる多孔膜を含んでなり、前記バインダーが、アクリル系主鎖モノマーの重合体又は共重合体と、架橋鎖コモノマーとを、重量比90:10から60:40で混合して架橋反応させることにより形成される、3次元架橋構造を有するアクリル系ゴムからなることを特徴とするリチウム二次電池。 - 前記架橋構造を有するアクリル系ゴムは、主鎖分子の1万分子量単位に対し、2から10個の架橋点を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記架橋構造を有するアクリル系ゴムは、主鎖分子の1万分子量単位に対し、4から5個の架橋点を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記アクリル系主鎖モノマーは、メチルメタクリレートを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記架橋鎖コモノマーは、2-エチルヘキシルアクリレート、オクチルアクリレート、アクリロニトリルのいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記アクリル系主鎖モノマーの重合体又は共重合体は、1万から500万範囲内の重量平均分子量を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記アクリル系主鎖モノマーの重合体又は共重合体と、前記架橋鎖コモノマーは、重量比70:30で混合されることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記アクリル系主鎖モノマーの重合体又は共重合体は、その側鎖基の一部分がアルカリ金属でキャッピングされることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記アルカリ金属は、Na又はKであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記セラミック物質の1次粒子が部分焼結又は再結晶結合した2次粒子が、バインダーで結合されてなることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記2次粒子は、房状又は層状の粒子群からなることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 房状をなす前記2次粒子は、直径が0.01から0.3μmの範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 層状をなす前記2次粒子は、幅が100nmから1μmである鱗状の薄片であることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記セラミック物質は、アルミナ(Al2O3)、ジルコニウム酸化物(ZrO2)、チタン酸化物(TiO2)より選ばれる少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする請求項1〜13のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記セラミック物質は、シリコン(Si)、アルミニウム(Al)、ジルコニウム(Zr)、チタン(Ti)それぞれの絶縁性の窒化物、水酸化物、アルコキシ化物、ケトン化物より選ばれる少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする請求項1〜13のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記セラミック物質は、200℃温度で熱膨張率が0.2%以内、400℃温度で熱膨張率が0.1から0.4%であることを特徴とする請求項1〜15のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記セラミック物質の熱伝導度は、500℃以上、1000℃以下の温度範囲で、100W/(mxK)を中心として±10%の領域にあることを特徴とする請求項1〜16のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記セラミック物質の誘電損失は、1MHzの周波数で10−5から10-2の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1〜17のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記セラミック物質とバインダーとは、95:5から80:20重量比で用いられることを特徴とする請求項1〜18のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記多孔膜は、空孔率が50%以上で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1〜19のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記セパレータは、更に、前記多孔膜の他に、別のポリオレフィン系樹脂膜を備えてなることを特徴とする請求項1〜20のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記ポリオレフィン系樹脂膜は、ポリエチレン単層膜、ポリプロピレン単層膜、及びポリプロピレン-ポリエチレン-ポリプロピレン多層膜より選ばれることを特徴とする請求項21に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記セパレータは、前記多孔膜のみからなることを特徴とする請求項1〜20のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記正極及び負極の少なくとも一方に、前記多孔膜が存在することを特徴とする請求項1〜23のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記多孔膜は、前記セラミック物質とバインダーとを溶媒に分散させた混合溶液に前記電極を浸す方法と、前記混合溶液を前記電極面にスプレーする方法と、前記混合溶液を前記電極面に全面印刷する方法とから選ばれる少なくとも1つの方法により形成されることを特徴とする請求項1〜24のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記多孔膜は、1から40μmの厚さで形成されることを特徴とする請求項1〜25のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記多孔膜は、5から20μmの厚さで形成されることを特徴とする請求項1〜26のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記正極及び負極は、各々、リチウムイオンをインターカレーション及びデインターカレーション可能な正極活物質及び負極活物質を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜27のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記正極活物質は、下記の(1)から(13)からなる群より選ばれるリチウム化合物であることを特徴とする請求項28に記載のリチウム二次電池。
