Description
以下、本発明を詳細に説明する。
本発明のフッ素樹脂チューブは、肉薄であり大口径のチューブを対象とするものである。その平均厚さが70μm以下であり外径が100mm以上のフッ素樹脂チューブであって、該チューブの厚みのばらつきが該チューブの平均厚み±20%以内であり、配向度(F)が0.25〜0.55の範囲であることを特徴とする。
配向度は次式により算出される。
本発明のフッ素樹脂チューブは、フッ素樹脂を溶融押出しして、チューブ状フッ素樹脂の外面と内面の両方を径規制治具に接触させるとともに、該チューブ状フッ素樹脂内面に内圧をかけてチューブの形状を保持して成形される。そのため上記で示したように、大口径であっても優れた膜厚精度及び低い配向度を有している。
[チューブの厚さ]
チューブの平均厚さは、定寸600mmでカットされたチューブの中心軸方向に等間隔で測定点を10点選び、それらの各点から周方向に等間隔で8点選び、これらの計80点において厚さを測定し、その平均値として求めた。(図3を参照)。肉厚測定は、ミツトヨ製マイクロメーターを用いた。
配向度は、定寸600mmでカットされたチューブにおいて、中心軸方向の任意の点における周方向に等間隔で4箇所試料(軸方向×周方向:2×1cm)を切り出し、各試料においてフッ素樹脂結晶ピークの方位角分布強度を測定し、その平均値として表した。配向度測定において使用した装置および条件は以下の通りである。
装置 : リガク製 RINT2550
付属装置: 繊維試料台
X線源 : CuK α
出力 : 40kV 370mA
検出器 : シンチレーションカウンター
次のようにして、融点310℃のPFA(MFR=2.1g/10min)を、環状ダイスを用いて溶融押出し成型し、外径150mm、平均厚み29μmのPFAチューブを製造した。
外径165mm、厚み33μmのPFAチューブとすること以外は、実施例1と同様にしてPFAチューブを製造した。
チューブ内部へのエアの導入による加圧を省略したこと以外は実施例1と同様にしてチューブを作成した。
円筒状の金属カバーを外しチューブ外表面の冷却及び径規制治具との接触を省略したこと以外は実施例1と同様にしてチューブを作成した。
Claims (7)
- 平均厚みが70μm以下であり外径が100mm以上のフッ素樹脂チューブであって、
該チューブの厚みのばらつきが該チューブの平均厚み±20%以内であり、配向度(F)が0.25〜0.55の範囲であり、
フッ素樹脂が、テトラフルオロエチレン−パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル共重合体であるフッ素樹脂チューブ。 - フッ素樹脂チューブの厚みのばらつきが該チューブの平均厚み±15%以内であり、配向度(F)が0.30〜0.50の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフッ素樹脂チューブ。
- 折り目を持たないことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のフッ素樹脂チューブ。
- フッ素樹脂をチューブ状に溶融押出して、該チューブ状フッ素樹脂の外面と内面の両方を径規制治具に接触させるとともに、該チューブ状フッ素樹脂内面に内圧をかけてチューブの形状を保持することを特徴とするフッ素樹脂チューブの製造方法。
- 該チューブ状フッ素樹脂の内面を径規制治具に接触させた後、その外面を径規制治具に接触させることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のフッ素樹脂チューブの製造方法。
- 該チューブ状フッ素樹脂が内面規制治具に接触するまでの範囲において、金型に設けられた円筒状のカバーで該チューブ状フッ素樹脂の外周を覆うことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のフッ素樹脂チューブの製造方法。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のフッ素樹脂チューブからなる電子写真方式を用いた画像形成装置に使用されるベルト表面離型層。
