Description

Claims (5)
- 印刷媒体である多孔質のシートのスタックから1枚のシートを分離する方法であって、
アパーチャ付き足部を用いて、前記スタック上の印刷媒体の最上のシートの上面上に流体を、該流体が該スタックの最上のシートを通過させ2番目のシートに当て、最上のシートの少なくとも一部を浮上させるように、吹き付けるステップと、
前記スタックから前記最上のシートを更に分離するために前記スタックに対して前記アパーチャ付き足部をスイングさせるステップと、
前記最上のシートをプリンタの印刷ステーションに搬送するために、前記アパーチャ付き足部を用いて、分離された前記最上のシートを通過する流体を吸引し、前記アパーチャ付き足部で前記最上のシートの前記少なくとも一部を捕捉する、吸引ステップと
を含む方法。 - 前記アパーチャ付き足部が印刷媒体供給装置のピックアップ手段に設けられている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アパーチャ付き足部と前記最上のシートの上面との間に低圧領域を生じさせるために、印刷媒体の前記最上のシートの上面に対して離隔した関係に前記ピックアップ手段を維持するステップを含む請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記吸引ステップが、吹付け動作から吸引動作への変化を引き起こすために前記ピックアップ手段を通る流体の流れの方向を逆転させることにより、印刷媒体の前記最上のシートの前記少なくとも一部を捕捉することを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 印刷媒体の前記最上のシートを、前記スタック上に吹き付けられる流体の流れの方向に対して実質的に直角の方向に搬送するステップを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
