Abstract
Description
本出願は、2015年4月29日付韓国特許出願第10−2015−0060452号及び2016年4月25日付韓国特許出願第10−2016−0049966号に基づいた優先権の利益を主張し、当該韓国特許出願の文献に開示されている全ての内容は本明細書の一部として含まれる。
人造黒鉛1及びハードカーボン3を含むコア;及び
前記コアを取り囲んで、天然黒鉛5を含むシェル;を含み、
前記シェルは、前記天然黒鉛が積層されて結球され、前記コアの表面を覆うように形成されている負極活物質であってよい。
人造黒鉛;ハードカーボン;及び、前記人造黒鉛の平均長さまたは前記ハードカーボンの平均粒径のうち、相対的により小さな平均長さまたは平均粒径を有する物質に対して20倍から30倍の長い平均長さを有する長片状の天然黒鉛;を混合して球形化する段階を含む負極活物質の製造方法を提供する。
正極、負極、前記正極及び負極の間に介在された分離膜、及び非水性電解液を含み、前記負極は本発明の負極を含むリチウム二次電池を提供する。
実施例1.
(段階1)長軸の平均長さ(L50)が6μmである鱗片状の人造黒鉛300gと、平均直径(D50)が4μmであるハードカーボン200g、及び平均長さ(L50)が100μmである天然黒鉛500gをドラムミキサーに投入し、800rpmの速度で120分間回転させながら混合して人造黒鉛及びハードカーボンを天然黒鉛が取り囲んだ形態の負極活物質を製造した。
前記実施例1の段階1で、平均長さ(L50)が90μmの天然黒鉛を用いたことを除き、前記実施例1と同様に行ってコイン型ハーフセルを製造した。
前記実施例1の段階1で、平均長さ(L50)が50μmの天然黒鉛を用いたことを除き、前記実施例1と同様に行ってコイン型ハーフセルを製造した。
前記実施例1の段階1で、平均長さ(L50)が20μmの天然黒鉛を用いたことを除き、前記実施例1と同様に行ってコイン型ハーフセルを製造した。
前記実施例1の段階1で、平均長さ(L50)が10μmの天然黒鉛を用いたことを除き、前記実施例1と同様に行ってコイン型ハーフセルを製造した。
前記実施例1の段階1で、平均長さ(L50)が128μmの天然黒鉛を用いたことを除き、前記実施例1と同様に行ってコイン型ハーフセルを製造した。
前記実施例1の段階1で、鱗片状の人造黒鉛とハードカーボンを投入する代わりに、平均長さ(L50)が100μmの天然黒鉛のみをドラムミキサーに投入したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様に行ってコイン型ハーフセルを製造した。
実験例1.負極活物質の形態の観察
前記実施例1の段階1で製造された負極活物質の形態を観察するため、製造された負極活物質を水95%、負極活物質5%の割合で混合した溶液に制酸剤を入れて負極活物質を分散させたあと、マイクロ粒度分析機(機器名:mastersizer3000、会社名:Malvern Instruments Ltd)で観察した。
前記実施例1、2、比較例1から4で製造されたコイン型ハーフセルの初期効率を測定し、その結果を表1に示した。初期効率は、具体的に、充電時に0.1Cの電流密度で5mVまでCCモードで充電したあと、CVモードで5mVに一定に維持させ、電流密度が0.005Cになると充電を完了した。放電時に0.1Cの電流密度で1.5VまでCCモードで放電を完了して初期効率を得た。その結果を下記表1及び図2に示した。
前記実施例1、2及び比較例1から3で製造されたコイン型ハーフセルの一番目の充電過程での非可逆容量を測定し、その結果を図3に示した。
前記実施例1及び比較例2、5で製造されたコイン型ハーフセルの充放電を通じた寿命特性を測定し、その結果を図4及び図5に示した。

Claims (18)
- 人造黒鉛及びハードカーボンを含むコア;及び、
前記コアを取り囲んで、天然黒鉛を含むシェル;を含み、
前記シェルは、前記天然黒鉛が積層されて結球され、前記コアの表面を覆うように形成されている二次電池用負極活物質。 - 前記天然黒鉛は、前記人造黒鉛の平均長さまたは前記ハードカーボンの平均粒径のうち、相対的により小さな平均長さまたは平均粒径を有する物質に対して20倍から30倍長い平均長さを有する長片状の天然黒鉛であるものである請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記ハードカーボンの直径は4μmから7μmであり、前記天然黒鉛の長さは80μmから120μmであるものである請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記コアの直径は9μmから13μm、前記シェルの厚さは5μmから12μmであるものである請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記負極活物質の直径は14μmから25μmであるものである請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記ハードカーボンは、フェノール樹脂焼結体、ポリアクリロニトリル系炭素繊維、擬等方性炭素、フルフリルアルコール樹脂焼結体(PFA)からなる群より選択される1種以上である請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記人造黒鉛及びハードカーボンは、1:0.1から1.0の重量比を有する請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記コア及びシェルの重量比は、1:0.5から1.5であるものである請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 人造黒鉛;ハードカーボン;及び、前記人造黒鉛の平均長さまたは前記ハードカーボンの平均粒径のうち、相対的により小さな平均長さまたは平均粒径を有する物質に対して20倍から30倍長い平均長さを有する長片状の天然黒鉛;を混合して球形化する段階を含む請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質の製造方法。
- 前記球形化は、ドラムミキサーを利用して行われるものである請求項9に記載の二次電池用負極活物質の製造方法。
- 前記ドラムミキサーは、700rpmから1,000rpmの回転速度で120分から150分間回転して天然黒鉛を球形化するものである請求項9に記載の二次電池用負極活物質の製造方法。
- 負極集電体上に請求項1に記載の負極活物質を含む負極合剤が塗布されている二次電池用負極。
- 正極、負極、前記正極及び負極の間に介在された分離膜、及び非水性電解液を含み、前記負極は請求項12に記載の負極を含むものであるリチウム二次電池。
- 前記非水性電解液は、非水系有機溶媒とリチウム塩を含むものである請求項13に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記非水系有機溶媒は、プロピレンカーボネートを含むものである請求項14に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 請求項13に記載のリチウム二次電池を単位セルとして含む電池モジュール。
- 請求項16に記載の電池モジュールを含み、中大型デバイスの電源として用いられるものである電池パック。
- 前記中大型デバイスが、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車及び電力貯蔵用システムからなる群より選択されるものである請求項17に記載の電池パック。
