注射器は、使用時に、注射器が作動したとき、液体推進剤が第3のチャンバから放出され、第3のチャンバの外側で所定温度または所定温度を超える温度で沸騰し、第2のチャンバ内に増大する蒸気圧をもたらし、これによって、ストッパーを軸方向前方に移動させ、薬剤を出口を通して第1のチャンバから放出させ始めるように、構成されており、
バレル内におけるストッパーの軸方向前方移動中に、推進剤が第2のチャンバからベント孔を通して排気されるようになっている、
注射器が提供されている。
ベント孔が第1のチャンバまたは第2のチャンバに流体連通しない第1の位置と、
ベント孔が第2のチャンバに流体連通し、これによって、第2のチャンバからの推進剤の排気を可能にする、第1の位置の軸方向前方の第2の位置と、

Claims (31)
- 所定温度で沸騰する推進剤によって推進可能な注射器であって、
前端に出口を有するバレルと、
前記バレル内において軸方向に移動可能なストッパーと、
推進剤を含むための第3のチャンバと、
を備えており、
前記ストッパーは、第1のチャンバおよび第2のチャンバを画定しており、かつ互いに分離しており、前記第1のチャンバは、前記ストッパーの軸方向前方に位置しており、薬剤を含むように構成されており、前記第2のチャンバは、前記ストッパーの軸方向後方に位置しており、前記注射器の作動時に、前記ストッパーに作用するための推進剤を受け入れ、前記ストッパーを前記バレル内において軸方向前方に移動させ、薬剤を前記出口を通して放出させるように、構成されており、
前記注射器は、使用時に、前記注射器が作動したとき、液体推進剤が前記第3のチャンバから放出され、前記第3のチャンバの外側で前記所定温度または前記所定温度を超える温度で沸騰し、前記第2のチャンバ内に増大する蒸気圧をもたらし、これによって、前記ストッパーを軸方向前方に移動させ、薬剤を前記出口を通して前記第1のチャンバから放出させ始めるように、構成されており、
前記バレル内における前記ストッパーの軸方向前方移動中に、推進剤が前記第2のチャンバからベント孔を通して排気されるようになっている、
注射器。 - 前記ストッパーは、前記バレル内において、
前記ベント孔が前記第1のチャンバまたは前記第2のチャンバに流体連通しない第1の位置と、
前記ベント孔が前記第2のチャンバに流体連通し、これによって、前記第2のチャンバからの推進剤の排気を可能にする、前記第1の位置の軸方向前方の第2の位置と、
の間で軸方向に移動可能になっている、請求項1に記載の注射器。 - 前記ストッパーは、前記バレル内において、前記第2の位置の軸方向前方に位置する第3の位置に付加的に軸方向に移動可能になっている、請求項2に記載の注射器。
- 前記第3の位置は、前記バレル内における前記ストッパーの予想最前位置であり、該予想最前位置において、前記第1のチャンバは、実質的にゼロの空間を有し、実質的に全ての薬剤が前記第1のチャンバから放出されている、請求項3に記載の注射器。
- 前記第2の位置にあるとき、前記注射器は、液体推進剤を含んでいる、請求項3または4に記載の注射器。
- 前記第2の位置にあるとき、前記注射器は、前記ストッパーが前記第3の位置に達するのに十分な液体推進剤を含んでいる、請求項5に記載の注射器。
- 前記第1の位置において、前記ストッパーは、前記ベント孔と前記第1のチャンバとの間の流体連通および前記ベント孔と前記第2のチャンバとの間の流体連通を阻止するようになっており、前記第2の位置において、前記ストッパーは、前記ベント孔が前記第2のチャンバに流体連通するように、前記ベント孔の少なくとも一部の軸方向前方に位置するようになっている、先行する請求項1−6のいずれかに記載の注射器。
- 前記ストッパーは、栓および前記栓の軸方向後方に延在するピストンを備えており、前記栓および前記ピストンの各々は、前記バレルを封止しており、前記ピストンは、前記ストッパーを前記バレル内において軸方向に移動させるように、前記第2のチャンバ内の蒸気圧によって作用されるように、構成されている、請求項7に記載の注射器。
- 前記ストッパーは、軸方向後方に延在するロッドを備えており、前記ロッドは、前記第1の位置において、前記ベント孔と前記第1のチャンバとの間の流体連通および前記ベント孔と前記第2のチャンバとの間の流体連通を阻止するために、前記ベント孔を貫通し、かつ封止するようになっており、前記ロッドは、前記第2の位置において、前記ベント孔が前記第2のチャンバに流体連通するように、前記ベント孔を貫通しないようになっている、請求項7に記載の注射器。
- 前記ベント孔は、前記ロッドを封止するためのシールを備えている、請求項9に記載の注射器。
- 遮断部材であって、前記ベント孔と前記第2のチャンバとの間の流体連通が前記遮断部材によって遮断される遮断位置と、前記ベント孔が前記第2のチャンバに流体連通する非遮断位置と、の間で移動可能になっている、遮断部材をさらに備えており、
前記遮断部材は、前記第1の位置において前記遮断部材が前記遮断位置にあり、前記第2の位置において前記遮断部材が前記非遮断位置にあるように、前記ストッパーによって前記遮断位置と前記非遮断位置との間で移動可能になっている、
請求項2−6のいずれかに記載の注射器。 - 前記ストッパーは、前記ストッパーが前記遮断部材に係合していないとき、前記ストッパーが前記遮断部材に対して軸方向前方に移動可能であり、前記ストッパーが前記遮断部材に係合したとき、前記ストッパーの軸方向前方の移動によって、前記遮断部材が前記非遮断位置に向かって軸方向前方に移動するように、前記遮断部材に選択可能に係合可能になっている、請求項11に記載の注射器。
- 前記ストッパーは、前記遮断部材を貫通する軸方向後方に延在するロッドを備えており、 前記ロッドは、その後端に半径方向突起を備えており、前記ストッパーは、前記突起が前記遮断部材に接触して前記ストッパーを前記遮断部材に係合させるまで、前記遮断部材に対して移動することができるようになっている、請求項12に記載の注射器。
- 前記ストッパーは、栓と、前記遮断部材および前記栓に接続された拡張性部材とを備えており、前記拡張性部材は、軸方向長さに沿って拡張することができ、前記拡張性部材が、前記ストッパーを前記遮断部材に係合させている前記栓と前記遮断部材との間の相対的軸方向距離による最大軸方向長さに達するまで、前記遮断部材に対する前記栓の軸方向前方の移動を可能にするようになっている、請求項12に記載の注射器。
- 前記拡張性部材は、コイルである、請求項14に記載の注射器。
- 前記拡張性部材は、柔軟な繋ぎ綱である、請求項14に記載の注射器。
- 前記柔軟な繋ぎ綱は、紐である、請求項16に記載の注射器。
- 前記注射器の作動時に、前記ベント孔は、推進剤が前記第2のチャンバから排気可能となるように、前記第2のチャンバに流体連通するようになっており、前記ベント孔を通る排気の比率は、前記第2のチャンバ内の蒸気圧が前記ストッパーを前記バレル内において軸方向前方に移動させるのに依然として十分に上昇するようになっている、請求項1に記載の注射器。
- 前記ストッパーは、閉塞部材を備えており、前記閉塞部材は、前記バレル内の前記ストッパーの少なくとも1つの軸方向位置において、排気を完全に阻止することなく、前記ベント弁を通る排気の比率を制限するように、前記ベント弁を閉塞するようになっている、請求項18に記載の注射器。
- 前記ストッパーが、前記注射器バレルのその予想最前位置であって、前記第1のチャンバが実質的にゼロの空間を有し、実質的に全ての薬剤が前記第1のチャンバから放出されている、その予想最前位置にあるとき、前記閉塞部材は、前記ベント弁を閉塞しないようになっている、請求項20に記載の注射器。
- 前記ベント孔は、細長く延びており、前記閉塞部材は、前記ベント孔の細長い長さに沿って前記ベント孔を閉塞するようになっている、請求項19または20に記載の注射器。
- 前記第3のチャンバは、当初、前記バレル内の前記ストッパーの予想最前位置であって、前記第1のチャンバが実質的にゼロの空間を有し、実質的に全ての薬剤が前記第1のチャンバから放出されている、その予想最前位置に、前記ストッパーを移動させるのに十分な量の推進剤を含んでいる、請求項18−21のいずれかに記載の注射器。
- 前記ベント孔は、前記バレル内に形成されている、先行する請求項1−22のいずれかに記載の注射器。
- 前記バレルに封着された推進剤ハウジングをさらに備えており、前記ベント孔は、前記推進剤ハウジングに形成されている、請求項1−22のいずれかに記載の注射器。
- 前記推進剤は、ヒドロフルオロアルカン(HFA)を含んでいる、先行する請求項1−24のいずれかに記載の注射器。
- 前記HFAは、HFA134aである、請求項25に記載の注射器。
- 前記推進剤は、前記第2のチャンバから前記ベント孔を通して外側環境に排気されるようになっている、先行する請求項1−26のいずれかに記載の注射器。
- 前記推進剤は、前記第2のチャンバから前記ベント孔を通してさらなるチャンバに排気されるようになっており、前記さらなるチャンバは、前記第2のチャンバよりも低い圧力を有している、請求項1−26のいずれかに記載の注射器。
- 前記ベント孔は、軸方向長さを有しており、前記第2の位置における前記ストッパーと前記第3の位置における前記ストッパーとの間の軸方向距離は、前記ベント孔の前記軸方向長さよりも大きくなっている、請求項3−6のいずれかまたはそれらに従属する請求項のいずれかに記載の注射器。
- 前記第2の位置における前記ストッパーと前記第3の位置における前記ストッパーとの間の前記軸方向距離は、前記ベント孔の前記軸方向長さよりも2倍大きくなっている、請求項29に記載の注射器
- 添付の図面を参照して明細書に実質的に記載されている所定温度で沸騰する推進剤によって推進可能な注射器。
