Abstract
【解決手段】第1および第2不織ポリマー基材と、前記不織ポリマー基材間に挟まれた強化用繊維の不織層と、前記強化用繊維の層を前記不織基材に接合する接着剤とを含み、前記接着剤が舗装の温度、圧力、またはその両方で活性化されてアスファルト舗装との適合性のある結合を形成し、前記接着剤が50〜99重量%のPVCラテックスエマルションを含んでいる、製造物。

Description
は、表面層120は、ワックス剥離剤を約1〜8重量%、および可溶性ポリマー、アンモニア、増粘剤、カーボンブラック、脱泡剤、および可塑剤よりなる群から選択される添加剤を約0〜10重量%含んでいる、ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)ラテックスエマルションコーティングを含んでもよい。1つの好ましいPVCラテックスエマルションは、Noveon,Inc.,Cleveland,OHから入手可能なVycar(登録商標)460x63ラテックス(ビニルエマルション)であり、これは、コーティング表面で約120〜140°F(49〜60℃)より高い舗装温度においてかなりの程度の塑性流動をもたらす。PVCラテックスポリマーとアスファルトとのもともとのレベルの化学的接着もあるであろう。
い。補強材10の(タックフィルム層100とは反対の側を向いている)底部表面は、感圧接着剤などの接着剤11を有する。これにより、複合材200は、表面コースが施されている間所定の位置に保たれる。図3の構成では、ホットメルト接着剤層12によってタックフィルム層100が下にある補強層10と結合するので、タックフィルム層100はそれ自体の接着剤層122を必要としない。また、表面コース140はフィルム層100の上部と接触し、フィルム100の上側表面に接着剤層122を必要としない。接着剤層122は、図3の複合材200に使用されるタックフィルム100から省略することができる。
以下の表1に記載されているコーティング22を調製し、コーティングが施されていないSaint Gobain Technical FabricsのGlasGrid(登録商標)製品(8501または8511グリッド)に施した。
ポリマー樹脂コーテッドフィルムの調製
ポリエチレン(PE)とポリプロピレン(PP)がブレンドされた、厚さが12.7マイクロメートルの薄いフィルムを調製した。フィルムに孔をあけて、直径0.5ミリメートルの開口部が25.4ミリメートルごとの間隔で存在するようにした。これは、表面層の施工における加熱アスファルト混合物から下側のアスファルト層への熱伝達を容易にし、フィルムをアスファルト舗道層に付着させるためである。塊状重合された(塩化ビニル)PVCアクリル系共重合体のエマルション中に、フィルムを21℃で浸し、コーティングされたフィルムを熱対流炉において100℃で2分間乾燥させ、フィルム上のコーティングの残留率(residual rate)は123g/m2になった。

図11は、コーティング120および/またはコーティング22に使用される組成物に対して実施された一連の試験のデータをプロットしたものである。そのデータを用いて、非樹脂性コーティングのせん断性能と比較してせん断性能を実質的に低下させることなく、コーティング120に使用する非アスファルト樹脂性材料と一緒にどのくらいの割合のアスファルト乳剤をブレンドできるかを求めた。
Claims (10)
- 第1および第2不織ポリマー基材と、
前記不織ポリマー基材間に挟まれた強化用繊維の不織層と、
前記強化用繊維の層を前記不織基材に接合する接着剤と
を含み、前記接着剤が舗装の温度、圧力、またはその両方で活性化されてアスファルト舗装との適合性のある結合を形成し、前記接着剤が50〜99重量%のPVCラテックスエマルションを含んでいる、製造物。 - ガラス繊維スクリムを含む補強用繊維の不織層は、実質的に縦方向に配向されている少なくとも第1セットの糸を含む、請求項1に記載の製造物。
- ガラス繊維スクリムは、実質的に横方向に配向されている第2セットの糸を含む、請求項2に記載の製造物。
- 強化用繊維の不織層は、Eガラス繊維を含む、請求項1に記載の製造物。
- 接着剤が、1〜8重量%のワックス剥離剤、および約0〜10重量%の、可溶性ポリマー、アンモニア、増粘剤、カーボンブラック、脱泡剤、および可塑剤よりなる群から選択される1種または複数種の添加剤を含む、請求項1に記載の製造物。
- 接着剤が、乾燥成分の重量に対して
40〜60重量%のpvcアクリルラテックス;
0〜20重量%の内部可塑化pvcラテックス;
5〜25重量%のスチレン−アクリル酸ラテックス;
5〜25重量%のエチレン−アクリル酸ラテックス;
0〜1重量%の有機油/シリカ脱泡剤;
0〜5重量%のカーボンブラック分散体;
0〜5重量%のEBSブロッキング防止ワックス分散体;
0〜10重量%のアクリル溶液ポリマー;
0〜2重量%の非イオン界面活性剤;
0〜1重量%のフルオロ界面活性剤;および
0〜5重量%のポリアクリル酸増粘剤
を含む、請求項1に記載の製造物。 - 不織ポリマー基材は、ポリエステルを含む、請求項1に記載の製造物。
- 50〜99重量%のPVCラテックスエマルションを含む接着剤で強化用繊維の不織層をコーティングするステップと、
第1および第2不織ポリマー基材に積層するステップ
とを含む、強化製造物の形成方法。 - 不織ポリマー基材の一部に、コーティングパンを通すことによって、強化用繊維からなる不織層を供給する、請求項8に記載の補強用製造物の形成方法。
- 強化用繊維からなる不織層が、糸を含むものであって、糸を強化用繊維からなる不織層をコートするのに用いられたと同一の接着剤に含浸させることをさらに含む、請求項8に記載の補強用製造物の形成方法。
