Abstract
Description
図4に示されるような3層電極の構成を有する基板を製造した。介在層は上記に述べたウルトラバリア法を用いてアクリレートポリマーを成膜したものであり、2つの導電層はスパッタリングによってITOを成膜したものである。表2に示されるように、異なる厚さの介在層及びITO層を有する3層電極を厚さ0.005インチ(0.127mm)のPETのロール上に作製した。
多層ITO/ポリマー/ITOの積層体が、実施例1に使用されたのと同じプロセスでPETフィルム上に作製された。レーザアブレーション法を使用して、OLED作製のための電極を規定した。OLED作製に先立ち、ITO/ポリマー/ITOの多層スタックを有するPETフィルムを窒素雰囲気中で80℃にて一晩プリベークして、フィルムから水分を除去した。OLED作製の直前に、フィルムに標準的な酸素プラズマ処理をして、有機残留物をITO表面から除去し、OLEDにおける性能を最適化するためにITO表面の特徴を調整した。OLEDは、約10−6torr(0.13mPa)の基準圧で真空システム内にて標準的な熱蒸着によって作製された。OLED構成体(HIL(300nm)/HTL(40nm)/EML(30nm、6%)/ETL(20nm)/LiF(1nm)/Al(200nm))を成膜させた。

- ディスプレイ装置であって、
第1の基板、
第1の電極、
ディスプレイ材料、
第2の電極、及び
第2の基板、の順序で配置された層を含み、
前記第1の電極及び第2の電極のうちの少なくとも一方が、
第1の透明又は半透明導電層と、
第2の透明又は半透明導電層と、
前記第1の導電層と前記第2の導電層との間に配置された透明又は半透明の介在層と、を含み、
前記介在層が前記第1の導電層と前記第2の導電層との間の導電経路を含む、ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記第1及び第2の導電層がそれぞれ、透明又は半透明の導電性酸化物を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記介在層が、誘電体ポリマー材料又は無機誘電体材料を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記介在層が、前記第1及び第2の導電層の屈折率と異なる屈折率を有する導電層を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記導電経路が、前記第1の導電層間と第2の導電層間との間の通孔を通じて延びる導電性連絡部を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記介在層が結合剤を含み、前記導電経路が前記結合剤中に懸濁された導電性粒子を含むとともに前記第1の導電層と前記第2の導電層との間に延びる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の導電層と前記ディスプレイ材料との間に配置された絶縁層を更に含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の導電層の厚さが、前記第2の導電層の厚さと実質的に同じである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1及び第2の基板のうちの少なくとも一方が、ポリエチレンテレフタレートを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1及び第2の基板のうちの少なくとも一方が、バリア層を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ディスプレイ材料が、OLED材料を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ディスプレイ材料が、IEL材料を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ディスプレイ材料が、電気泳動材料を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ディスプレイ材料が、ポリマー分散液晶材料を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 固体照明要素であって、
第1の基板、
第1の電極、
発光物質、
第2の電極、及び
第2の基板、の順序で配置された層を含み、
前記第1の電極及び第2の電極のうちの少なくとも一方が、
第1の透明又は半透明導電層、
第2の透明又は半透明導電層と、
前記第1の導電層と前記第2の導電層との間に配置された透明又は半透明の介在層と、を含み、
前記介在層が前記第1の導電層と前記第2の導電層との間の導電経路を含む、固体照明要素。 - 前記発光物質が、OLED材料を含む、請求項15に記載の固体照明要素。
- 前記発光物質が、IEL材料を含む、請求項15に記載の固体照明要素。
- 太陽電池であって、
第1の基板、
第1の電極、
