Description
被覆が熱可塑性樹脂組成物からなると共に、熱可塑性樹脂組成物が
(i)ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)、
(ii)ポリオレフィン、
(iii)ブロックコポリマー、及び
(iv)難燃剤
を含み、
7ニュートンの荷重、直径0.45ミリメートルの針、及び横断面積0.22平方ミリメートルの心線と厚さ0.2ミリメートルの被覆とを有する電線を用いてISO6722のスクレープ摩耗規格で測定した場合、当該電線が100サイクルを超える耐摩耗性を有し、
熱可塑性樹脂組成物が、タイプI試験片及び50ミリメートル/分の速度を用いてASTM D638−03で測定して30%を超える破断点引張伸び、及び1.27ミリメートル/分の速度を用いてASTM D790−03で測定して1800メガパスカル(MPa)未満の曲げ弾性率を有する電線によって満たされる。
図1は、電線の横断面の略図である。
例1〜13
例1〜13は、二軸押出機で成分を混合することで製造した。PPE及びブロックコポリマーは供給スロートで添加し、PPは下流で添加した。有機リン酸エステルは、押出機の第二の(下流側)半部において液体インゼクターで添加した。押出機の端部で材料をペレット化し、ペレット化材料から曲げ弾性率及び引張伸び試験用の試験片を射出成形した。
例1〜13は、単一の組成物で所望の引張伸び、曲げ弾性率及び耐摩耗性を達成するのが意外に難しいことを示している。例1は3種の望ましい性質(100サイクルを超える耐摩耗性、1800MPa未満の曲げ弾性率、及び30%を超える破断点引張伸び)のすべてを示しているが、ポリプロピレンを10重量%増加させかつポリ(アリーレンエーテル)を10重量%減少させた例2は十分な耐摩耗性を示していない。ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)及びポリプロピレンの量について例1及び2と同じ傾向を示す例3及び4は、共に十分な引張伸び、曲げ弾性率及び耐摩耗性を有している。例1及び2と例3及び4との差は、ブロックコポリマーの組成にある。例1で使用したブロックコポリマーより高いフェニルエチレン含有量を有するブロックコポリマーを使用した例5は、優れた耐摩耗性を示しているが、曲げ弾性率が高すぎる。例1で使用したブロックコポリマーより低いフェニルエチレン含有量を有するブロックコポリマーを使用した例6は、低い曲げ弾性率を有するが、耐摩耗性が不良である。
例14〜25は、例1〜13に関して上記に記載したようにして製造した。組成及び結果を表4に示す。
例1〜13と同じく、例14〜25は引張伸び、曲げ弾性率及び耐摩耗性の所望の組合せを達成するのが難しいことを示している。意外にも、高密度ポリエチレンを用いた組成物は、ポリプロピレンを含む同等の組成物と比べた場合、低い引張伸び、高い耐摩耗性及びやや高い曲げ弾性率を有している。

Claims (27)
- 心線及び心線をおおって配設された被覆を含んでなる電線であって、
心線が熱可塑性樹脂組成物からなると共に、熱可塑性樹脂組成物が
(i)ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)、
(ii)ポリオレフィン、
(iii)ブロックコポリマー、及び
(iv)難燃剤
を含み、
7ニュートンの荷重、直径0.45ミリメートルの針、及び横断面積0.22平方ミリメートルの心線と厚さ0.2ミリメートルの被覆とを有する電線を用いてISO6722のスクレープ摩耗規格で測定した場合、当該電線が100サイクルを超える耐摩耗性を有し、
熱可塑性樹脂組成物が、タイプI試験片及び50ミリメートル/分の速度を用いてASTM D638−03で測定して30%を超える破断点引張伸び、並びに1.27ミリメートル/分の速度を用いてASTM D790−03で測定して1800メガパスカル(MPa)未満の曲げ弾性率を有する、電線。 - 熱可塑性樹脂組成物がアルケニル芳香族樹脂を実質的に含まない、請求項1記載の電線。
- 熱可塑性樹脂組成物が連続ポリオレフィン相及び分散したポリ(アリーレンエーテル)相を含む、請求項1記載の電線。
- ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)、ポリオレフィン、ブロックコポリマー及び難燃剤の合計重量を基準にして、ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)が35〜50重量%の量で存在し、ポリオレフィンが25〜40重量%の量で存在し、ブロックコポリマーが7〜20重量%の量で存在する、請求項1記載の電線。
- ポリオレフィンがポリプロピレン、高密度ポリエチレン、又はポリプロピレンホモポリマーと高密度ポリエチレンの組合せからなる、請求項1記載の電線。
- ポリプロピレンがポリプロピレンホモポリマー、ポリプロピレンコポリマー、又はポリプロピレンホモポリマーとポリプロピレンコポリマーの組合せからなる、請求項5記載の電線。
- 高密度ポリエチレンがホモポリエチレン、ポリエチレンコポリマー、又はホモポリエチレンとポリエチレンコポリマーの組合せからなる、請求項5記載の電線。
- ポリプロピレンが、粉末化又はペレット化ポリプロピレン、2.16キログラムの荷重及び230℃の温度を用いてASTM D1238に従って測定した場合に0.4〜15グラム/10分のメルトフローレートを有する、請求項5記載の電線。
- 高密度ポリエチレンが、粉末化又はペレット化高密度ポリエチレン、2.16キログラムの荷重及び190℃の温度を用いてASTM D1238に従って測定した場合に0.29〜15グラム/10分のメルトフローレートを有する、請求項5記載の電線。
- ポリプロピレンが134℃以上の融解温度を有する、請求項5記載の電線。
- 高密度ポリエチレンが124℃以上の融解温度を有する、請求項5記載の電線。
- ブロックコポリマーがジブロックコポリマー及びトリブロックコポリマーからなる、請求項1記載の電線。
- 難燃剤が有機リン酸エステルからなる、請求項1記載の電線。
- 熱可塑性樹脂組成物が、ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)、ポリオレフィン、ブロックコポリマー及び有機リン酸エステルの合計重量を基準にして0.8〜1.2重量%のリン含有量を有する、請求項13記載の電線。
- 熱可塑性樹脂組成物がさらに、酸化防止剤、10マイクロメートル以下の平均粒度を有する充填材、10マイクロメートル以下の平均粒度を有する補強材、ケイ酸塩、TiO2、繊維、ガラス繊維、ガラス球、炭酸カルシウム、タルク、雲母、離型剤、UV吸収剤、安定剤、光安定剤、潤滑剤、可塑剤、顔料、染料、着色剤、帯電防止剤、発泡剤、泡立て剤、金属不活性化剤、及び上述の添加剤の1種以上を含む組合せからなる群から選択される1種以上の添加剤を含む、請求項1記載の電線。
- ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)が封鎖ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)からなる、請求項1記載の電線。
- 熱可塑性樹脂組成物が可視微粒子不純物を実質的に含まない、請求項1記載の電線。
- 熱可塑性樹脂組成物が15マイクロメートルを超える微粒子不純物を実質的に含まない、請求項1記載の電線。
- ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)が、25℃のクロロホルム中で測定して0.35デシリットル/グラム以上の初期固有粘度を有する、請求項1記載の電線。
- 耐摩耗性が150サイクル以上である、請求項1記載の電線。
- 引張伸びが40%以上である、請求項1記載の電線。
- ブロックコポリマーが1以上のブロック(A)及び1以上のブロック(B)を含み、ブロック(B)が制御分布コポリマーである、請求項1記載の電線。
- ポリオレフィンがある重量基準の量で存在し、ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)がある重量基準の量で存在し、ポリオレフィンの重量基準の量がポリ(アリーレンエーテル)の重量基準の量より少ない、請求項1記載の電線。
- ブロックコポリマーが、
第一のブロックコポリマーの総重量を基準にして50重量%以上のアリールアルキレン含有量を有する第一のブロックコポリマー、及び
第二のコポリマーの総重量を基準にして50重量%未満のアリールアルキレン含有量を有する第二のブロックコポリマー
からなる、請求項1記載の電線。 - 心線及び心線をおおって配設された被覆を含んでなる電線であって、
心線が熱可塑性樹脂組成物からなると共に、熱可塑性樹脂組成物が
(i)25℃のクロロホルム中で測定して0.35dl/gを超える初期固有粘度を有するポリ(アリーレンエーテル)、
(ii)145℃以上の融解温度及び0.4〜15グラム/10分のメルトフローレートを有するポリプロピレン、
(iii)ビス−アリールホスフェート、並びに
(iv)異なるアリールアルキレン含有量を有する2種のブロックコポリマーの組合せであって、第一のブロックコポリマーが第一のブロックコポリマーの総重量を基準にして50重量%以上のアリールアルキレン含有量を有し、第二のコポリマーが第二のブロックコポリマーの総重量を基準にして50重量%未満のアリールアルキレン含有量を有する組合せ
から実質的になり、
7ニュートンの荷重、直径0.45ミリメートルの針、及び横断面積0.22平方ミリメートルの心線と厚さ0.2ミリメートルの被覆とを有する電線を用いてISO6722のスクレープ摩耗規格で測定した場合、当該電線が100サイクルを超える耐摩耗性を有し、

(iv)8〜12重量%の難燃剤
から実質的になり、
7ニュートンの荷重、直径0.45ミリメートルの針、及び横断面積0.22平方ミリメートルの心線と厚さ0.2ミリメートルの被覆とを有する電線を用いてISO6722のスクレープ摩耗規格で測定した場合、当該電線が100サイクルを超える耐摩耗性を有し、
