Description

DESCRIZIONE
La presente invenzione riguarda una apparecchiatura per ottimizzare e controllare la distribuzione delle merci.
Tipicamente, le merci vengono fornite ad un utilizzatore tramite spedizione da una località di partenza, ad esempio dal fabbricante, ad una località di destinazione, ad esempio ad un distributore, dove esse vengono introdotte in un inventario generale. Successivamente, le merci vengono prelevate dall'inventario per completare un ordine per un cliente, eventualmente in combinazione con merci aventi la stessa origine, oppure origine diversa, anch'esse prelevate dallo stesso inventario .
Dato che il distributore spesso esaurisce le scorte di un certo tipo di merce, gli ordini aperti che richiedono tali merci rimangono inevasi fino all'arrivo delle merci mancanti. Se tali merci, all'arrivo presso il distributore, vengono dapprima inserite nell'inventario generale e successivamente prelevate da esso per completare un ordine aperto, è evidente che l'evasione di tale ordine viene ritardata inutilmente.
Scopo della presente invenzione è quindi quello di tornire un'apparecchiatura in grado di ottimizzare la distribuzione delle merci in arrivo, smistando direttamente al reparto confezionamento ordini quelle merci necessarie al completamento di ordini aperti e che quindi non devono essere introdotte nell'inventario generale.
Un ulteriore scopo della presente invenzione è quello di ridurre i tempi di controllo della spedizione in arrivo mediante un sistema automatico di registrazione dei contenitori arrivati, il quale consente il confronto con i dati di spedizione trasmessi dalla località di partenza.
Tali scopi vengono conseguiti per mezzo di una apparecchiatura avente le caratteristiche riportate nella rivendicazione 1.
Risultano evidenti i vantaggi in termini di risparmio di tempo, e quindi di minori costi, ottenuti grazie all'ottimizzazione dello smistamento delle merci in arrivo ed al controllo automatico dei contenitori arrivati.
Questi ed altri vantaggi e caratteristiche della apparecchiatura secondo la presente invenzione risulteranno più chiaramente dalla seguente dettagliata descrizione di una sua forma realizzativa preferita, riportata a titolo esemplificativo ma non limitativo, nella quale i contrassegni di identificazione sono realizzati mediante codici a barre, di tipo noto.
L’elaboratore elettronico della località di partenza è dotato di un lettore di codici a barre quale dispositivo di registrazione degli oggetti inseriti in un contenitore. Tali codici sono riportati sulla confezione di ciascun oggetto e lo identificano in maniera univoca. In tal modo, l'elaboratore registra il contenuto di ciascun contenitore di imballaggio, ed una volta che esso è pieno provvede ad emettere un contrassegno di identificazione del contenitore stesso, ad esempio un'etichetta adesiva. Tale contrassegno, anch'esso consistente in un codice a barre, contiene tutte le informazioni relative al contenitore, ossia la quantità ed il genere di oggetti in esso contenuti, la località di destinazione, il mezzo con il quale viene trasportato (numero del camion, o del volo o del treno), etc.
Le registrazioni di imballaggio dei contenitori di una spedizione vengono successivamente trasmesse dal primo elaboratore, ad esempio attraverso un modem collegato alla rete telefonica, al secondo elaboratore posto nella località di destinazione della spedizione. Tale secondo elaboratore è provvisto di un archivio degli ordini aperti contenente le liste degli oggetti necessari al completamento di tali ordini, le priorità di evasione, ed eventualmente una lista di confronto per effettuare un controllo incrociato tra i codici a barre rilevati sugli oggetti ed i codici cliente attribuiti a tali oggetti.
Quando una spedizione viene ricevuta nella località di destinazione, l'incaricato del ricevimento utilizza un lettore di codici a barre quale dispositivo di registrazione dei contenitori arrivati. Dalla lettura di tale codice, il secondo elaboratore elettronico è in grado di conoscere il contenuto del contenitore, grazie ai dati trasmessigli dal primo elaboratore. Confrontando il contenuto del contenitore con le suddette liste degli oggetti necessari a completare gli ordini aperti, il secondo elaboratore stabilisce come smistare il contenitore arrivato.
Nel caso in cui gli oggetti contenuti nel contenitore permettono il completamento di un ordine aperto, l'elaboratore emette, ad esempio sotto forma di uno stampato, le istruzioni relative al trasferimento del contenitore al reparto di confezionamento degli ordini, elencando gli oggetti da estrarre dal contenitore arrivato e ri-imballare nel contenitore da spedire al cliente. E' evidente che in questo modo viene eliminata la perdita di tempo causata dall'introduzione di tali oggetti nell'inventario generale e dalla loro successiva rimozione dall'inventario per completare l'ordine. Le istruzioni emesse dall'elaboratore comprendono anche l'indicazione di una specifica posizione provvisoria all’interno del reparto di confezionamento ordini, e possono eventualmente comprendere anche una lista di oggetti da prelevare dall'inventario ed inviare a tale posizione provvisoria per il completamento di un ordine in combinazione con gli oggetti appena arrivati.
Al contrario, nel caso in cui gli oggetti arrivati con la spedizione non permettono il completamento di un ordine aperto, le istruzioni emesse conterranno l'indicazione della posizione nell'inventario alla quale indirizzare gli oggetti da immagazzinare. Lo stesso dicasi per gli oggetti che rimangono in un contenitore destinato al reparto confezionamento ordini, dopo che ne sono stati estratti gli oggetti necessari al completamento di un ordine.
Dato che il secondo elaboratore è a conoscenza del contenuto delle spedizioni in arrivo prima ancora che esse giungano a destinazione, esso può smistare verso il reparto confezionamento anche un contenitore contenente oggetti che al momento non permettono il completamento di un ordine, ma tale ordine risulterà completato dagli oggetti in arrivo con una successiva spedizione già in viaggio.
Inoltre, il secondo elaboratore confronta automaticamente la registrazione dei contenitori, arrivati nella località di destinazione con una data spedizione, con i dati relativi a tale spedizione ricevuti dal primo elaboratore. In questo modo è possibile individuare immediatamente eventuali contenitori smarriti durante il trasporto, identificando anche il mezzo che li trasportava.
E' chiaro che nella suddetta descrizione il termine "cliente" si può applicare anche ad un qualunque sub-distributore in una catena di distribuzione a più livelli. Analogamente, i dispositivi di registrazione dei contrassegni di identificazione possono essere di tipo diverso rispetto ai lettori di codici a barre, come pure possono differire il dispositivo di emissione del contrassegno di identificazione del contenitore, ed il dispositivo di emissione delle istruzioni di smistamento dei contenitori arrivati.
Eventuali aggiunte e/o modifiche potranno pertanto essere apportate all'apparecchiatura oggetto della presente invenzione senza tuttavia uscire dall'ambito di protezione dell'invenzione.

Claims (2)

  1. RIVENDICAZIONI 1. Apparecchiatura per ottimizzare e controllare la distribuzione delle merci caratterizzata dal fatto di comprendere un primo elaboratore elettronico situato nella località di partenza della spedizione ed un secondo elaboratore elettronico situato nella località di destinazione della spedizione e collegato al primo tramite una linea di trasmissione dati, detto primo elaboratore comprendendo un dispositivo di registrazione degli oggetti inseriti in un contenitore, ed un dispositivo di emissione di un contrassegno di identificazione del contenitore, emesso in base alla suddetta registrazione, e detto secondo elaboratore comprendendo un dispositivo di registrazione dei contenitori arrivati con la spedizione, un archivio degli ordini cliente da evadere, una banca dati degli oggetti presenti ad inventario generale, ed un dispositivo di emissione di istruzioni relative allo smistamento dei contenitori arrivati.
  2. 2. Apparecchiatura secondo la rivendicazione 1, caratterizzata dal fatto che i dispositivi di registrazione del primo e secondo elaboratore consistono in lettori di codici a barre, ed il dispositivo di emissione contrassegni del primo elaboratore consiste in una stampante di codici a barre .
