Abstract
607,021. Thermionic valves. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. March 22, 1946, No. 8934. Convention date, July 4, 1944. [Class 39 (i)] In a vacuum tube, especially one designed for use at high frequencies, the cathode 4 has a hollow metal support 9 which also serves as a low inductance cathode lead. This support has two punched-out ears 10 which carry rods 11 which support the insulating plates 12; these support the grid 3 and give further support to the cathode. The grid is connected to the grid ring 6 which is sealed through the envelope. Conductors 18 connect the cathode to the support 9 whose lower end is flanged; the lead in wires 7 are connected to this flange.
