Abstract
370,792. Projectile fuzes. RMONDY, L. E., 42, Rue d'Anjou, Paris. Aug. 21, 1931, No. 23599. Convention date, Nov. 26, 1930.' [Class 9 (i).] Relates to sensitive combined direct and momentum-action fuzes of the kind described in Specifications 172,326 and 238,186, [both in Class 9 (i), Ammunition &c.], in which both the striker c and the percussion cap f are contained in a movable casing b which is inwardly guided by projections h<1> on a washer h that prevents initial forward movement of the cap. According to the present invention, in order to prevent inward movement of the casing and cap on the projectile leaving the gun, a retaining or safety device is provided in the form of a cup e which is fastened by shear wires or the like g to the fuze body a and is located either below the base b<2> of the casing, as shown, or between the cap and the base of the casing. The washer h is retained by a screwed part a<1> of the fuze body the removal of which allows of the withdrawal of the whole of the fuze casing.
