Abstract
404,549. Projectile fuzes. SOC. METALLURGICA ITALIANA, 84, Via Vittorio Veneto, Rome. June 26, 1933, No. 18196. Convention date, Sept. 17, 1932. [Class 9 (i).] The primer 4 for exploding the charge 2 of a projectile 1 is situated at the inner end of an empty passage 6 open at the nose of the projectile, so that the primer is detonated on impact by the action of the air in the passage 6 without the assistance of a percussion member. The primer charge may be covered by a disc 7. This projectile is intended especially for use against slightly resistant targets such as aeroplanes and airships.
