Abstract

250,271. Skoda Works, Plzen. April 6, 1925, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Projectiles.-An aerial bomb is made with an explosive charge in front of, and separated by an air space from, an incendiary charge of thermoaluminic mixture which burns during flight and is scattered in a molten condition by the explosion of the explosive charge on impact by means of an instantaneous or delay-action percussion fuze. A metal may be added to the thermo-aluminic mixture. This mixture may be contained in a number of small packages to prevent its dispersion before it has burnt itself into a molten condition, if the bomb is dropped from a small height.
