Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-A bell-shaped additional combustion chamber k is mounted in the piston by a clamping-ring d and the opening f is throttled by the fuel injection nozzle c. An air space h is left between the chamber and the pocket in the piston head. In a modification, Fig. 2, the chamber k is covered by the securing plate d in which is formed the throttling orifice f and conical inlet g.
