Abstract
285,469. Acro Akt.-Ges. Feb. 18, 1927, [Convention date]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel. - In engines in which the near approach of the piston b to the cylinder head causes the majority of the air to be compressed into a chamber e and an intermediate funnel-shaped chamber h formed in the piston the dimension and timing are such that the air flowing back past a constriction c meets fuel, with or without air, issuing from a nozzle i and ignition takes place in and above the chamber h. A specific example of relative dimensions is given. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also forming the chambers h, e in the cylinder head. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 265,903 (as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts).
