Abstract
224,518. Skandia-Verken Aktiebolag. Nov. 5, 1923, [Convention date]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-A shoulder 2 is provided within the combustion chamber in a vertical plane approximately parallel to the axis of a rotatable fuel injector 1, which has an obliquely directed spraying, orifice, so that the fuel jet may be projected against the shoulder in order to atomize the fuel and deflect it into the middle of the combustion chamber. The fuel injector 1 may be rotated about its axis to direct the fuel upwardly on to an igniting pin (not shown) at starting, laterally on to the shoulder 2 at medium loads, or downwardly on to the cylinder through an eccentric passage 3 of oval cross-section at full load. By thus rotating the fuel injector, the temperature of the combustion chamber may be controlled. Specification 12881/13 is referred to.
