Abstract
208,218. White & Co., Ltd., J. S., and Forster, A. Sept. 13, 1922. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-A metallic liner C is fitted within the water-cooled combustion chamber to provide a suitable vaporizing surface, the cylinder head being made in one piece and so constructed that the liner may be inserted from below. The liner may be split to allow of expansion, and is secured by a bayonet type of joint and locked against rotation by an igniting plug D. The fuel is injected by a device H, by means of which a jet may be projected either by the nozzle J against the hot bulb at starting, or through the nozzle K against the liner for normal running.
