Abstract

417,306. Oil engines. FAIRWEATHER, H. G. C., 65, Chancery Lane, London.- (Skandia-VerkenAktiebolag ; Lysekil, Sweden.) March 5, 1934, No. 6963. [Class 7 (iii).] Liquid fuel is injected through a duct 7, containing one or more vaporizing-members 3, into a combustion chamber 8, and induces air to circulate through passages 6 and a space 2 into the duct 7, into which opens an ignition device 4. To facilitate starting, the injection nozzle may be adjusted to direct fuel into the ignition device 4. The vaporizing-member may be a sleeve or a wire spiral, plate, or rod inserted in the channel 7 and heated electrically at starting.
