Abstract

450,727. Pulverulent - fuel engines. SCHICHAU GES., F., Schichaustrasse, Elbing, Germany. July 25, 1935, Nos. 21175 and 21177. Convention dates, July 25, 1934 and May 25, 1935. [Class 7 (ii)] In engines in which pulverulent fuel is supplied from a container to an antechamber before passing to the combustion chamber, in both cases separately from the main combustion air, a small quantity of air is used for loosening the fuel in its passage from the container to the ante-chamber. Air may be sucked through the porous base of the container d, the fuel being sucked therefrom into the passage e where it mingles with air entering through passages f from the tube h, and adjustable valve i. As shown in Fig. 2, mingling takes place at the point 5 and the fuel reaches the ante-chamber 2 after passing the double valve 7, 8. Specification 452,608 is referred to.
