Abstract
225,846. Madler, F. L. Dec. 3, 1923, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-A fuel charge is prepared in a pump 24 and delivered into air or weak mixture compressed in the working cylinder 1. The fuel charge is formed in a carburettor 41 with an adjustable choke tube 43. A valve 52 controls the admission of primary air from the pipe 56 and of exhaust from the pipe 55, the valve determining the relative amounts of the air and exhaust. A secondary supply of air on the pump side of the fuel jet 42 is controlled by a valve 46, to determine the amount of fuel in each charge. The two valves 46, 52 may be worked together. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that exhaust can be admitted by the valve 46. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
