Spray carburettors.-In a carburettor of the kind provided with a straight-through passage controlled by a piston valve carrying a fuel valve. and in which the air inlet f, Fig. 3, is formed with a pilot portion j, a main portion k and an additional air supply portion l, the mixture outlet is made of slot-like or elongated shape, three forms of which are shown in Fig. 2, with its major axis in the direction of opening of the control valve, and the area of opening of the air inlet is always greater than the area of opening of the mixture outlet.
