518,650. Spray carburetters, SOC. GENERALE DES CARBURATEURS ZENITH. Sept. 1, 1938, No. 25612. Convention date, Sept. 1, 1937. [Class 7 (iii)] In a carburetter having a manifold jet 8 controlled according to altitude, for instance, by a capsule 12, and a power jet 15 controlled by a manometric element 17, a chamber 18 containing the element 17 communicates through a calibrated passage 19, 20 with the induction passage 3 on the one hand and through a calibrated passage 21, 14 with the atmosphere or air intake 4 on the other hand. Preferably the calibrated orifice 19 in the pipe 20 is larger than the corresponding orifice 21. As shown, both fuel jets supply a common nozzle 5, but each may supply a separate nozzle. When a blower 2 is used between the carburetter and the engine, the pipe 20 communicates with the outlet thereof.
