Abstract

234,125. Heyners, B., and Mandahl, T. F. May 16, 1924, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Spray carburettors.-Annular members 5, 6, 7 are located in the casing 3 so as to form a choke passage 8 into which a mixture of fuel and air is delivered through a narrow peripheral slit 13. The fuel and air are conveyed through annular chambers 9, 10 and narrow annular channels 14, 15, meeting at an angle, and of which 14 leads to the float chamber 1 through conduits 16, 17, 19 and a. nozzle 18, and 15 leads to the atmosphere through conduits 21, 20. The fuel conduit may be provided with a controllable air inlet 22. The air conduit may be provided with a preferably controllable fuel inlet, or both conduits may be provided with air and fuel inlets. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the mixture of air and fuel is admitted to a number of air passages 23. The chambers 9, 10 serve as reservoirs to facilitate starting.
