Abstract

176,382. Maschinenfabrik Augsburg- N³rnberg Akt.-Ges. March 5, 1921, [Convention date]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-An igniting charge of light fuel is sprayed through the orifices d of an injector slightly in advance of the main charge which enters through orifices b. The main charge is so directed that it meets the igniting charge at points f when the light fuel has become ignited. Both fuels are injected without the use of spraying air, and one jet of light fuel may serve to ignite several jets of heavy fuel.
